We visited this restaurant seven years ago and decided to try it again. The menu is a little limited but excellent. We went on Thursday 16th October for an evening meal. We did not book but we were able to be given a table. The meal was very good so we decided to book a table for Sunday lunch. It... More

We were a group of 12 and visited this restaurant on 2 occasions because of the size of the group we were offered a fixed menu on both occasions on the first visit I had a ceviche of salmon trout with guacamole cumber and beetroot crisps it was very good and was followed with a perfectly cooked hake fillet with... This was our only bad experience in Biarritz. The tables are ridiculously close, approximately 4 inches in places. A large restaurant spread over two areas had only two waiters and was thus very undermanned. It was offputting to sit watching the two waiters scurrying furiously around. They may have been doing their best but their job was impossible. When we... More

By far food average service slow and terrible wine list hopeless and expensive for the quality. Ate on the terrace quite busy but not full went because it had reasonable reviews and was in walking distance. Would not go again.

Fantastic food and the special of the day (pork tagliatelle on our visit) is great value for money. Fantastic atmosphere, quite a small place but crammed with keen customers. As other people have mentioned the two waiters were a bit overstretched serving a completely full restaurant at lunch time.

The service at this place is a complete joke. I don't fully blame the waiters as the restaurant is clearly understaffed, so the responsibility lies mainly with the management. It took 35 minutes for us to even get a menu. Our drinks were then forgotten about, bread was forgotten about, had to go up to the bar to pay my bill,... More

I have known this restaurant for many years and always enjoyed eating here. The menu is simple, but excellent variety. Make a booking to ensure you get a place. If you do not like smokers then make sure you sit deep on the inside of the restaurant. Also suggest you get there early to ensure you get a nice table... More

The old joke that the hardest place to find a good french restaurant is in France still holds true. There are so many mediocre places, especially is tourist magnets like Biarritz. So it was a great relief to find this place, which epitomizes everything a good down-to-earth French restaurant should be. Every dish we had was very good. Quality ingredients... More

This place is the place to go in Biarritz for foodies and elderly locals. The prices are reasonable and the cooking is excellent. Friendly staff, perfect atmosphere. The small selection of traditional basque dishes won't knock you off your feet, but if you are in to fine dining with focus on great local produce you will love it!

This was the culinary highlight of our trip to Biarritz. This was one of the best dinners eaten out that i have ever had. The started of gazpaco and paella were outstanding! I had the game hen? with chorizo -- so perfect in every way that there needs to be a new word for delicious! Our table also had tuna,... More
