We went to L'Entrecote shortly after checking into our hotel in Bordeaux. We were prepared for a long line after reading the reviews, and as expected we saw a big crowd outside the restaurant even though we arrived about 10 minutes before their lunch opening time of 12pm. However, as soon as the doors opened, the lines moved very quickly... More

Set menu: lettuce and walnuts, then steak and chips - 19 euros. Choice of desserts. Wine only. Been to three restaurants in different cities - always the same and NEVER disappointed. No bookings so need to queue - well worth any wait.

Nice little neighborhood spot in a pedestrian area --- the waitresses were super friendly, and there seemed to be a good mix of regulars/locals and tourists... well made food - not inventive but good overall!

This was already on our list of places to visit in Bordeaux. The night we arrived we went for a stroll and quite near our Hotel was this place....and there was no queue! We decided there and then we would eat our dinner here. We were shown up the stairs until we reached the 3rd or 4th floor and shown... More

I visited the restaurant after receiving recommendations from two friends. There is usually a long wait. The set up is unique - with only the steak and fries available as a main dish. The steak, which seems to be a hanger in a pesto / olive oil sauce, is served on a hot plate (extra) and on a plate with... More

This is such a lovely restaurant with great food! They don't open all day but have a set time for lunch and dinner and you have to queue ahead of the opening hour.. We went for dinner and queued before 6 pm and there was a very long queue but it moved very fast and within 15 minutes we were... More

Went with the family and you must get there early as a queue starts before they open. Quick efficient service and plenty of food within the set price. Remember mediuim rare in France is blue so when you order your steak make sure you take this into account. Lovely sauce with the steak and loads of fries that keep coming... More

We discovered this restaurant years ago after reading a journalist's review and it draws us back every time. The lunch menu is set, with a choice of desserts - not that we've ever had room! You choose how you want your steak cooked and then wait for the feast to be served. Never disappointed. The famously secret sauce has us... More

Description
The unique menu remained unchanged since the beginning. This formula is a decked slice of sirloin of 170 grams accompanied by french fries and its famous sauce. His son Henry, opened a restaurant in Toulouse in 1962, in Bordeaux in 1966, in Nantes in 1980, in Montpellier in 1990, and finally, in Lyon in 1999. These restaurants are characterized by scots and black mural, a lemon yellow topping and hostesses dressed with yellow apron and black blouse. The exterior is beautified by yellow and black blinds vertical stripes for the best effect.
