Wait; this is in France? Having traveled in France for more years than I care to admit, I have long watched the evolution of food preparation, both in quality, price, and style. Just like other parts of the world, France has had its high and low points. Does anyone remember cuisine minceur? Julia Child didn't think much of it. Fortunately,... More

A taste of the "douceur de vivre" of the South-West. We have returned several times, for lunch as well as drinks or coffee in the afternoon, mostly for the great view of Bordeaux and relaxed atmosphere. We have found service to be superior to the food, but food is good enough. We actually were very impressed with our waiter the... More

The restaurant sits out over the Garonne on stilts. It's on the ' other' side of the river and had about 50% business clientele. We took the lunch menu as a la carte might have been too pricey. There was a choice of starters, mains and desserts and I enjoyed the fish dishes - I had not had salmon tartare... More

Simply the most arrogant, insulting, and shameful establishment we have ever had the misfortune of visiting. I am beyond troubled at a place that purports itself to be of such a high standard when it proves itself to be a fan of highbrow attitudes yet performs it's service with complete lack of adeptness. Our sole purpose was to try what... More

Once again this wonderful restaurant proved exceptional in all respects!!! The food was outstanding, the view back across the river to Bordeaux just beautiful and the service exceptional. We had a glass Veuve Clicquot each before and after dinner, 6 oysters as an appetizer, foie gras and sweetbreads for our entrees and with a nice bottle of wine the evening... More

We came here on a recommendation from the Hotel. We skipped starters and I had the grilled Monkfish (Escalope de Lotte) with peas in their pods all topped with an Aioli sauce. She had the Beef Tornados with scalloped potatoes all topped with Béarnaise sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious and washed down with a crisp Rose from the... More

I must start with the building as the setting is most probably the best one can get in BORDEAUX. The "glass box" across the Garonne allows stunning views to the old town and old bridge of BOD. If u book early enough ask for a table in the front! We only had fish that was excellently prepared. I was not... More

Great views make up for the overpriced food, to be honest. There was nothing wrong with the food - fairly staple fare, though. Service was good - but we arrived early by french standards, so ti was fairly empty. Wine, again, reasonable. So food wise, nothing to write home about -but the views ... well it is almost worth visiting... More

Stunning dramatic location out on the water with a 180deg view of Bordeaux, spectacular at night. Food and staff perfectly correct but, sadly, complacent. If you want properly cooked fish with no surprises then book your table. However if you seek innovation or inspiration, look elsewhere. This is not a bad restaurant, I just feel they could be so much more.
