Upon visiting Bordeaux and spotting the Gordon Ramsay Brasserie we did not feel the need to check out the reviews as our expectations based upon previous experiences in the UK were high. OMG how wrong could we have been!! Appalling service, half the order missed...More

I must say our expectations were high although we went to the brasserie, not to the 2 Michelin star restaurant that is housed in the same hotel. First the service was not what we expected at all. The wine came fast enough but we waited...More

The Blonde and I had spectacular wines even for Bordeaux standards. Mr. Ramsay or his sommelier can choose them. Bravo! We had a Graves and a Saint Emilion both of absolute class, my own preference going to the Graves. Such splendor, however, was not matched...More

The restaurant is arguably in one of the nicest spots of Bordeaux, right in front of the Opera House and in the nicely refurbished Intercontinental Hotel. However, the nice location does not make up for the lack of care, becoming a real tourist trap. The...More

The experience couldn't be more disappointing: Overcooked, salt-free pasta swimming in a cream-heavy sauce (any Italian grandmother would chase that cook out of her kitchen AND her house!). Fish&Chips not worthy of any old stand in any UK port. Famous name - lousy cooking: a...More

Located in the swanky Intercontinental Hotel, this brasserie is not to be mistaken with its 2 Michelin star studded brother restaurant le Pressoir d'Argent. It does however, bear the name of celibrity chef Gordon Ramsey, which yields certain expectations. We had lunch there. Entrees were...More

Description
Respectful of the quality and freshness of local and regional products, the new menu of Le Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay proposes specialties of the South West of France with a British touch. Among the favorites on the Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay's menu: the Beef Wellington serving two, three or four people and the famous Fish & Chips will be on offer. As for the desserts list, Arthur Fèvre revamped some traditional recipes: Spring "Gariguettes" (a flavorsome type of strawberry), lemon tart, chocolate Fondant... The wine menu offers a large range including a fine selection of Bordeaux wines. The restaurant interior design, supervised by Jacques Garcia recalls the splendid Belle - Epoque style. He worked with a palette of colors inspired by the deep green glass of wine bottles, the golden hue of sweet white wines and the velvety color of Bordeaux red wines. Such a harmonious design acts as a tribute to Bordeaux wines and the symbolic hotel venue. The marriage between the elegant style of the design and Gordon Ramsay's passion for South West French produce gives a new breath to the brasserie Le Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay which has become the perfect Bordeaux's spot for French and British specialties. In summer, the terrace on the Place de la Comédie is an ideal meeting place to enjoy the warm sunny days in the heart of the city. Take the opportunity to have a cocktail, tea or coffee, or to have lunch on the terrace in this pleasant setting.
