Called to make a reservation but the waitress who picked up the phone was utterly rude! Told me the restaurant was full and put the phone down on me. Poor attitude. Did not even bother to try..

Hadn't booked and shared a table! Worked well actually. Perfect hosts with good suggestions. The food was very nice and a good ambience.

arrived early evening in Bayonne, and after checking in, went in search of a restaurant. We were 5 mins from Quai Amiral Jaureguiberry which is alongside the River Nive. There is a row of restaurants, and after walking the lenght of the street walked back and decided to stop randomnly at one. We chose to sit outside by the river... More

An excellent Basque bistrot, and a standout among the many restaurants along Bayonne's quays. The ambience is excellent, and the staff (it's a family affair) extremely friendly and efficient. I had some excellent veal and a "deconstructed" strawberry cheesecake, There's a fine wine list also. Should I find myself back in Bayonne, I will certainly revisit.

This is a friendly, smily, family owned restaurant. 15euro for today's lunch. We had a grilled pork with green bean source as a main dish with a pleasant river view.

You have a choice: be sure to make a reservation or be lucky. We were lucky as we just turned up and were generously given a table for two outside. Later we noticed that others were similarly lucky but many were turned away - its a matter of timing. Interesting stories on every table and lots of pedestrian traffic, but... More

There were 18 of us in total we all enjoyed delicious food and the atmosphere was great. One of our party had a birthday so we sang in English immediately followed by the French diners singing their version. Service was good and restaurant full.

Friendly and efficient service. Basque ingredients cooked and presented with a certain flair. The house dry white wine by the glass was a great start; the jambon Bayonne followed quickly and slipped down, before the grilled "bar" (sea bass) with vegetable raviolis absolutely hit the spot. Delicious and reasonably priced!!

Ate here with 3 friends, one of them had the calamari to start. It was large portion which she shared with others. Absolutely delicious. I had the veal. It was a huge veal chop, cooked to perfection. The food was very good. It wasn't the cheapest but it was reasonably priced. The waitress was very helpful. Recommended.

We walked in on a Saturday night and they accommodated us straightaway. Friendly service. I asked for an English menu due to dietary requirements but they offered to translate for the queries I had. Good wine. My husband had the 25€ menu with Jambon (huge portion), fish for main was very well cooked with very tasty linguine, and a new... More
