We visited for a lunch during our visit of Colmar. The place is a typical tourist one: crowded, the staff does not pay you enough attention and everything is a bit impersonal (despite the traditional style). Nevertheless, for a tourist restaurant/brasserie, Schwendi offers pretty decent food at quite attractive prices. It is not a place to repeat, but it is... More

Lovely food but gets really busy and the staff really packs them in. Sat on top of each other. Not ideal but yet the place was buzzing with the christmas market outside. Look past all that and go with the flow as you do get a great warm welcome

It was a terrible experience, the waitress was very mean to us, it was the only one open place during the Christmas eve to eat, the food was tasteless, prices are high, waitress as a change gave only coins on purpose. Awful.

Great decorated place with a good service. Highly recommend to try the dish "Roesti minster" if you like cheese.

Traditional Alsace food served in a convivial atmosphere. Unless you arrive before 1230 for lunch, be prepared to queue for 20 minutes or so ,-it`s that popular with the locals ( always a good sign !). Standing in the small hallway, whilst waiting to be seated, is an experience of it`s own. You can watch the staff in full overdrive,... More

We ate here having walked past the night before and seen that it was really busy. There was a good choice of food on the menu including local specialities. We sat at a table outside and the terrace was continually full throughout the evening which gave it a nice atmosphere. My husband had a steak with pepper sauce which was... More

We had a dinner in the restaurant 30.10.2016. The service is very poor and the food terrible. The only choice-able stuff is vine.

A nice lunch with tasty farmers salad, quiche, and ice cream for dessert. This place is best if you want local tasty treats, fairly fast service, and are on the move to other places. It was busy, but locals seemed to really be a large part of the clientele, and they love the bar!

Very popular eatery close to the centre of town near the cathedral, with a quaint interior. There are a good range of dishes including typical Alsatian dishes, specialising in Roesti's. We particularly enjoyed the Roesti Diable, with pork steak and mustard. The traditional desserts are very good with massive portions. The range of beers is average, but we found the... More

The location is great at the center of Colmar near 'little venice'. We were looking forward to having a great lunch in the sun. Unfortunately the food (fish, meat and salads) were all terrible. Not to mention the rude and slow service. So...if you really want this location, go for the drinks only....
