I was really lucky to have my 50th birthday lunch here, the four of us had an amazing time. Fantastic company, beautiful food from the team in the kitchen, and a great combination of friendly and professional service from the front of house team. I can't thank The French enough, highly recommended.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at The French, this was are first visit. We found the restaurant itself to be very pleasant, with a lovely , welcoming and comfortable vibe. The staff were absolutely fabulous, very curtious and knowledgeable and we were delighted by the dishes on the taster menu. We will definitely return.

I went with a few friends sometime last year and it was by far the best meal and experience I have had. We had the tasting menu with the wine deal. It is very expensive but worth every penny. Each dish was full of flavour, presented brilliantly and went well with the chosen wines. Some of the dishes had items... More

My fiancee and I came here as a Christmas treat and were nothing but underwhelmed with the taster menu. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either - and no where near what you would expect from a restaurant attempting for a Michelin. The initial two courses were pretty decent and had us excited, but it was all down... More

We have eaten at The French under Simon Rogan many times, for both lunches and dinners, and each time the food has been exquisite and deserved at least one Michelin star (which it would undoubtedly have recieved had it been in London). We recently had the six-course lunch tasting menu now under Adam Reid and we were a little disappointed.... More

I live 9000 km away but I've dined at The French several times over the past few years. Very good food but nothing specially memorable. Now with Adam Reid at the helm, there has been a small but significant move in the best direction, so I dined there twice this week - the 6 course, wine paired lunch menu and... More

Loved the taster menu and the wines to go with it. The service was friendly and generally efficient. We'd eaten here before in its former incarnation and caught the last week of the current chef. Food was excellent and interesting. I liked almost all of it very much. The best moment was the sake. My family loved everything and it... More

Took my boyfriend here for his 30th and it did not disappoint! The venue itself is very grand, set within the Midlands hotel. We dined at lunchtime and whilst it was upmarket there was still a relaxed vibe to it. The food itself was fantastic. I was slightly worried after reading some negative reviews in the lead up however we... More

We went for Adams great British menu lunch and enjoyed it so much that we took our son a few weeks later. Each course was amazing, our favourites being the starter and the sweet. The flavours were outstanding. On our second visit we were given a complimentary glass of spsrkling English wine, a really nice touch. We have visited the... More

We had chosen to come here for a celebratory meal and were not disappointed. The food was sublime, the wines excellent. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable and discreet and looked after us really well. What more can I say other than we'd love to return.
