The entrance of the restaurant is somewhat hidden, it's the spiral staircase in the fastfood restaurant. The service was very friendly, explained to us how to eat traditional. We ate lamm and chicken and the food was very tasty! The price was very moderate. I highly recommend the restaurant and I'll be back. Thank you for the good dinner

Having never eaten Ethiopian food before was excited to try this place. The food was excellent, filling and completely unlike anything I've had before. Service was good and we were given advice on how to eat it. Also it was excellent value - £6.50 for a meal. would definitely recommend

Came here last month, hadn't eaten an Ethiopian (meal) before. Food was simple but good. Had a soup type thing with lamb in it, accompanied by lemon flavoured pancakes. Food was good, as was the Beer that came with it. Very good price, £18 for 2 of us, including scoops. The waiter who served us was cheery throughout, and very... More

It's an odd/quirky, little spot, not easy to find...at the back of Chorlton St Bus Station, on the edge of the Gay Village, on a corner, upstairs. The entrance is via s spiral staircase through a Turkish cafe/takeaway on the ground floor. Nothing flash about it. While I've experienced better Ethiopian food in Africa - most recently in Kampala (Uganda)... More

I'm adventurous with my food and visited with a friend who had eaten Ethiopian before and thought I would like it. This place had got great reviews and had been mentioned in the guardian so we were not put off by the dirty kebab shop, dirty floor and lacklustre vibe once we arrived upstairs. There was only one waiter and... More

Went here for the first time this week and was completely blown away. The food is incredible. We had the Shiro and Vegetable platter. Every single dish was so delicious and I just love eating with fingers. I can't wait to go back. It's also incredible value for money and very friendly. Amazing!

After intending to visit Habesha for sometime, I finally went with my partner who had been enthusing over it since his 1st visit the week before. The restaurant itself is situated above a kebab shop, and is entered via a spiral staircase in the shop. Do not let this deter you as Habesha more than lived up to my expectations!... More

I visited Habesha following a recommendation from a friend and I was certainly not disappointed. The menu is fairly limited but the food is absolutely delicious. What a unique opportunity to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine at the only place of its kind in Manchester. The staff were lovely and I enjoyed the family-run feel of the restaurant. I also couldn't...
