Food would be great if it was hot. On two occasions elements of the meal were cold which made what wouldve been a nice meal not that nice. Most recently a cold hollandaise ruined an eggs Benedict.

Called in after a lapse of two years in between visits and were flabbergasted to find what a terrible place it had become. It was poorly lit. The interior looked dirty, and we were offered dried out scones and sloppy flapjacks, which we refused.

Went with 3 year old and 4 month old for breakfast - the food was lovely, great choice, only drawback really was no children's menu so we ended up buying him an adult portion of porridge, but that's fine and he ate most of it anyway. Staff nice and very welcoming. Would definitely go again.

Was looking for somewhere for breakfast while car was being MOT'd and found this nice little tea shop. All freshly cooked food and home-made cakes too. They have a selection of teas and good coffee. We had the breakfast deal - something on a toasted muffin - eggs, cheese, mushrooms or home-made baked beans - and a drink for £4.95.... More

I went yesterday with My 25yr Old son and found it really lovely... Lovely Staff... I was surprised though as we entered The Tea Hive that it was full of Mums and babes and Trollies.... Not notice was shown of this and I immediately thought of Ladies who cannot have children... Im very open minded but was suprised. The coffee... More

Came here to meet a special girl and was really overwhelmed with how friendly the staff were, despite how busy it was the staff couldnt have been more helpful, really friendly and for a tea novice like myself (pg tips only) i was really impressed with the staff knowledge of the products, I got a hot chocolate which was really... Revisited Tea Hive for breakfast having earned a treat after completing the Parkrun. Like the atmosphere and it is more cosy upstairs. We ordered a tea, coffee and eggs benedict and a toasted teacake. Drinks came promptly and were very good (leaf tea and china cups and teapots. Unfortunately we did wait a long time for our food despite the... More

Waiting for way too long. For absolutely everything we ordered. Even ordered scones, waited for 40 minutes and when we asked where they were, were told they had none left. Appalling service and I found the staff uncaring. Offered us the drinks for free, even though two peoples hadn't even come anyway, so we had hardly had any drinks.

Waited for menus, finally went and got them ourselves. Waited over 45 min for tap waters to be brought. When I asked about how our food was coming (after about 40min) was told should be out soon but because things were busy wasn't sure. Overall it was extremely slow and there was no apology... just the feeling that because things... More

We had the scrambled egg with hot salmon and the eggs twisted. They were fantastic. Cooked to perfection, served in great time and perfect amount with a superb latte. Extremely happy as not many places in Manchester can get a breakfast right these days but that was perfect... Great service too!!
