Yes we were attracted by the five course set meal for £12.95 and there was plenty of food. It was all hot. Service was fast. The soup was thick and "gloopy". The spring rolls tasted frozen. The ribs were tasty but hadn't any sauce. The main courses were ok and the fried rice was good. For four of us the... More

We've eaten here before so that says something to start with. Pros * We had a 5 course evening meal (set from a list of about 8 options for main course) for £12.95 which is really good value. Drinks on top (pint of coke was £2.80). * Really tasty * Staff friendly and nice atmosphere. Cons * Only real criticism... More

There is large menu with everything you could wish for on it, including a separate section for vegetarians. The food was excellent and arrived quickly, service was fast. Total for an appetiser, beef main with rice, and large glass of wine was about £20. If i lived in Manchester I would be back.

Tried here as I saw a couple of people entering before me. Service was a little sketchy with the female waitress more polite than male. Lovely authentic atmosphere and clean. Good range on menu and very affordable ( i'd forgotten how much more you get for your money in the north!!) I went for the 5 course meal for £12.95.... More

Visited the China City on Faulkner Street on Wednesday. Had a satisfactory meal for £27.50 including a tip; salt and pepper ribs, prawn stuffing combination (tofu, aubergine and green peppers stuffed with minced prawn and a black bean sauce) with egg fried rice followed by red bean paste pancakes. The ribs were authentically bony but there was not sufficient meat... More

Just bad. Satay sauce was anything but satay, more a meat gravy thickened up. All the different meats didn't really taste like meat and was mostly inedible. worse quality of food than your average Chinese takeaway but twice the price.

Needed some things from a Chinese supermarket. Felt hungry and popped into this restaurant by chance. The lunch menu was just less than £6. Starter/main with rice and coffee or mixed fruit. All cooked to order and piping hot. Service was fast and efficient and enabled me to get back to work quite quickly. Would definately go again.
