initially visited to adopt a dog and left my dad in the cafe as he is recovering from a broken hip. They brought his brew and cake over to him and he had a lovely chat with the volunteers. One invited him to his choir and he got back into singing for the first time in a while. He loved... More

On visiting the sanctuary to adopt a dog, I decided to call into the tea room for a brew. The cafe is run by volunteers as a fund raiser for the sanctuary. Lovely selection of food and drinks on offer and at very reasonable prices. Bonus is you can take your dog in with you (and they get offered a... More

Called in yesterday for some lunch while my sister was adopting two pups. Wonderfully fresh home prepared food at low prices served in a homely environment. Highly recommended and you may find a bargain in the shop. All proceeds go to help this great cause.

Visited Animal Care for their Spring Fayre. Lovely warm sunny day which was brilliant for all the stalls and bouncy castles and outside activities. Spread out over a big area - grounds are massive. Hook a duck, bottle bola, bric a brac and other bits and bobs just at the front of the tea rooms. Lots of friendly, excited dogs... More

Had afternoon tea for two (£4 each, 50p extra for hot chocolate): tuna mayo sandwiches and carrot cake with hot chocolate, ham sandwiches, victoria sponge and tea. Had a look round the Animal Care Shop whilst the food was being prepared, which didn't take long at all. When we sat back down we were greeted first with the drinks and... More

Went for a cuppa after visiting Animal Care. Tea was nice, coffee not so nice! Victoria sponge went down very well with everyone! One of Animal Care's charity shops is within the building the cats is in so it was good to have a mooch round whilst waiting for hour drinks to cool down. Service a bit slow but we... More
