Went for Sunday lunch on 21st May following the Derby Arms being recommended. The Sunday roast my wife and I looked forward to was awful. The beef you couldn't cut. I just kept pushing the plate around the table! The waitress came back and asked if everything was ok; when I told her the beef was very tough, she smiled... More

Invited for a friends christening, pub was quite busy upon arrival & felt staffing was inadequate for such a large group, waited over 5 minutes to be served & not in the right order with staff serving new arrivals before those that had been there a while, very disappointed there was no alcohol free lager or cider available, just hot... We enjoyed a beautiful meal on Saturday night. The steak pie was delicious with gravy that was out of this world! My husband had the duck which was also cooked to perfection. The service was amazing with very friendly, attentive staff. I love this place and eat here regularly as the food is sooooo good!! I would recommend this place... More

Devine, one of the nicest Sunday lunches I have ever tasted. The beef was beautiful, lovely huge Yorkshire pud, could not fault. The children's meals were good but were served on hot plates which were changed for us when asked ( two children aged 4, 2). They both tucked in like they had never been fed. Delicious ice cream, tasty... More

Good to support a local supplier, always, but we left unexcited and in a rush. Nice choice of drinks at the bar: Robinson Ale reliable as ever. Also good that music wasn't blaring from speakers near our table, but we were close to the kitchen entry/exit doors which made a constant thump of noise. Two of the specials starters were... More

The Derby Arms is a rather handsome partially thatched pub set in the tranquil rural village of Treales near Preston, Lancashire.Inside you’ll find open fires, old beams and a great big bar plus the odd twist or two that befits the quirkiness of this beautiful countryside pub. We are proud to offer freshly-made, locally-sourced food combined with table service with a range of cask ales and hand selected wines.
