Friendly, efficient service in an intimate setting. The food was excellent - we especially enjoyed the 'amuse bouche' of a cute little homemade brioche loaf with a coffee cup of delicious mushroom soup. Even the music was great - 60's tracks and not too loud.

We recently spent several days in Tewksbury and, after looking at Tripadvisor, decided to try out this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The meal was one of the best we have had. The place is quite small, and is situated inside what were two historic buildings in Tewksbury, but this just added to the whole evening. The decor was superb,... More

This was our first but not only visit to My Great Grandad fathers restaurant. We found the menu to be very tasty and interesting. I fact it was difficult to choose which of the dishes to try. Congratulations.

My husband and I booked a table here for our tenth wedding anniversary. Having read the reviews and checked out the restaurant's website, we thought it would be just the right place to have that special meal. From the moment we walked in the services was excellent and very attentive, but not overly so. We were not rushed, but neither... More

The reviews on Trip Advisor are pretty stunning for this place and I have to agree it is pretty special. I attempted to book online but failed. Phone booking was much simpler with great customer service. It is easy to find with lots of parking nearby. The restaurant is definitely compact. Choice on the menu is a bit limited- particularly... We ate here in February and I can't fault it. We had wanted to dine here for a while and so glad we now have. The service was excellent, even booking and pre ordering via email was speedy. We chose from the Table d'hote menu and all of the food was excellent, the best meal out in a long time.... More

An excellent meal with attentive service. We were unable to get a taxi back to our hotel, despite assurances by the taxi company. Wonderfully the lovely lady owner took us back in her car. Well beyond the best service. All the praise is well earned. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody.

In our opinion, this is by far the best restaurant in Tewkesbury. Run by a couple, we've always had first class personal service. While waiting for our starter, we were served homemade vegetable soup with perfect hot homemade bread. We then shared a start of Deep Fried Brie Wedges, which was lovely. One day, we should explore the rest of... More
