After seeing great reviews we booked a table on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but the service didn't reflect that. Both main courses were delicious; the presentation of the food, cooked to perfection and unison of flavours was splendid. Dessert did not disappoint, chocolate cubes and some. My only thing and it is trivial, the furniture, pictures, general staging... More

The food was great and the stuff were great too. Very nice pub too. We will be coming back to try something different but the burger was great!

The Sun is conveniently placed and, fortunately, for us, only four miles away. It has an excellent chef and friendly staff. We eat there quite frequently and have always enjoyed its excellent food from an interesting menu.

We've been here several times over the past 11 years, despite a 50 minute drive, and have never been disappointed. Some of the best pub food.

I popped on here for an evening meal and from a limited menu, ordered burger and triple cooked chips. The chips were large, greasy and tasted like over roasted potatoes, but just cut differently. The burger was ok. This was my second visit here and my last. Why can't pub just do good pub food, instead of trying to be... More

Excellent food as always. Great service, Just make sure you book in advance as it's normally full at busy times.

Visited on a cold, fog night and found it to be very warm and welcoming. The menu was imaginative and delicious. The service was excellent too, attentive and helpful but not intrusive. Catching up with my sister so lots of chatting and they were quite happy to wait until we were ready to order and didn't hassle at any time.... More

Went with the family for a sunday lunch, and really enjoyed the food. The portions were a good size, and the 3 meats roast was just what I needed. Service was smooth, polite and quick, and its a classic country pub. Chocolate fudge cake for dessert which was also amazing and just the right size given my large roast! Only... More

This is the second visit here and not disappointed. We celebrated a family birthday at lunchtime. The food is of a very height standard and plenty of it. Staff friendly and polite. It is on the pricey side but worth it for a special occasion.

All produce is locally sourced, and food cooked fresh on the premises to order.Drinkers are catered for with a wide variety of high-quality ales, many of which are supplied by the local Triple fff Brewery.
