My partner and I have been coming here for years. During these Christmas months, it’s such a lovely, cosy atmosphere at the Woodbridge ! Food was sensational - can’t believe how great and fresh the whitebait starter tasted. Game suet pudding for mail - no...More

Went here to their so called winter Christmas market, well what a farce, about 6 stalls selling what can be only described as “Tat” so we went in the pub for a drink. The prices of drinks are extortionate £7 for a glass of wine,...More

Went to the Woodbridge Inn for our 'treat night' on holiday in the Gorge. Reached by the beautiful Coalport Bridge. Excellent dinner, many choices, including mini desserts and several cheeses, beautifully presented. Excellent service and friendly staff. A wonderful evening. This is the place that...More

Recent visit to use some vouchers we had accrued from recent visits. I had fish and chips which was fine. My wife chose beef bourguignon and asked to substitute normal mash for the mustard mash. It was served with green beans. Unfortunately they were undercooked....More

Beatiful country pub just outside of Ironbridge on a rivdrside location. 5 of us visited for Sunday lunch, make sure you book in advance as it's very popular - very busy when we arrived! However the service was great and relatively fast, waited about 30...More

We were taken out for a celebration meal at this pub by some very close friends and had never been here before. Surprisingly for a Friday night it was almost empty. The staff were very friendly and the service was efficient. I ordered the crispy...More

We prebooked for a mid week evening meal. Drinks were reasonably priced. Service was attentive. Food was good for the price, but we had 6x vouchers for a free main course. Bit of a mid week treat.

That the Woodbridge is right next to the River Severn and Coalport Bridget isn't it. Nor is the excellent food - we ate twice in here during our holiday, and it was ever so good, but once again, that ain't it. The Beer? A couple...More

Visited on 26.10.18 for an early family dinner. The location is brilliant, just a shame it was too cold to sit outside so will revisit next summer. Food was excellent, recommend the game suet pudding. Service was good. A good choice of craft ales.

Hi there are several walks nearby where we have taken picnics to before but we personally wouldn’t have a picnic on their grounds....maybe a bit cheeky :)

As far as I know the menu does not vary very much, but I would expect seasonal influences.

Description
The Woodbridge is situated on the banks of the River Severn, a mile downstream from Ironbridge in Shropshire. There are lots of interesting corners and nooks to squirrel away in, or more open, buzzy areas if you're in a more gregarious mood. For sunny days, we have a large terrace and extensive gardens on the banks of the river.
