Ordered two of the £6.00 fish and chips meals, overall very disappointed with the quality of the food, the batter was not crispy but soggy, the chips were tasteless. In future we will travel further afield to get the quality for the price paid. The...only good that came from this meal was feeding it to the swans on the canal, they seemed to enjoy it.More
Ordered off just eat for the family tonight. Was lovely. Battered sausage was beautifully cooked. Crisp but not burnt. The burger was perfect. The only this is the chips were slightly soggy. That’s the only let down and the reason for 4 stars
I have been to all the fish and chip shops in Quedgeley but I would highly recommend the Quedgeley fryer
We have haddock ,the fish and batter are excellent along with the chips and battered sausages
Guess what’s for tea tonight!
Great chippy! Always phone through and pay for my order before picking up, then it’s a quick collection from the back door. Knocked one star off as they never put enough salt n vinegar on and the fish sticks to the paper (could do with...it being put in a box). Worth a visit, the curry sauce is also delish :)More
Not tried it but noticed that the owner has written 6 glowing reviews since 2016 under the pseudonym ‘jonwataboy’
Shame on them, just to bump up the score. Can’t be that great if you feel the need to do this... thought I would just balance...it up a bit!More
I have travelled Gloucester's Fish and Chip shops, and in my opinon and that of many others, is that THE QUEDGELEY FRYER standards are the best.
Each and every time I have visited there, I have been served with good quality fresh fish (Cod and...Haddock) done in a nice light golden brown crispy batter. The chips are well fried and have a nice golden colour and soft centre to them. The quality of the potato used are very good and produce a nice firm chip. Portions are very generous according to size ordered..Their curry sold in carton sizes is smooth, and delicious to taste.
Fish and Chips are freshly cooked whilst you are there and served hot.
I find the staff very polite and pleasing and dress smart. I personally enjoy eating fish and chips outside in the open, or sat in the car. It's the good old way to enjoy the long standing BritishTradition of eating fish and chips with a sprinkle of salt.More
Qualit fresh fish ( Haddock, Cod, Plaice ) fried in thin golden brown batter - Portions = generous size at excellent price. Well cooked chips - nice and firm -NOT Greasy. Staff are pleasant and polite. The shop is always clean and tidy.
The food is always top notch and the place is Immaculate. Used the Fryer 13 years now and never had a bad supper. Prices good and a card machine make for convenient payment.
Ladies please ease up on the constant chat amongst yourselves and...put this energy into serving faster and slicker to get the queue down.
