We enjoyed a superb lunch at this fine venue. The crusty spelt bread and butter while making our choices was mouthwatering. We had mains and desserts and these were delicious beautifully balanced dishes. A bonus was the view across the Mendips on a fine autumnal...More

Sunday Lunch. The photos on the web site look great and I was looking forward to it. View from the back is nice. Tables OK but chairs getting old and uncomfortable. Seating arrangement was OK but tables could be arranged for better flow without a...More

We went there today for our anniversary. The restaurant was busy, despite it being in the country and despite it was lunchtime on a Monday. We decided to push the boat out and ordered a snack starter, main course, sweet and coffee. We were given...More

A second very positive visit to this marvellous secluded Michelin starred gastro pub. Stopped off here for lunch on the eve of our flight out of Bristol to Faro. Decided not to overdo it this time so limited ourselves to mains and desserts. Top class...More

Booked a table as a birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived to leaving the whole experience was beyond our expectations. The venue itself was beautifully maintained, it was relaxed and had a really welcoming but exclusive/intimate feel. The customer service was fantastic nothing was...More

Very disapointing start - when we arrived they could not find any trace of our table reservation, which we had made several weeks ago. After much faffing around, leaving us standing in the middle of the busy bar area, they found us a table, but...More

Great team serving good quality food that’s just that little bit different. The team were very helpful, giving you plenty of time to look through the menu, eat and rest before the next course. Atmosphere was just right with the log burner going for a...More

We've been for Sunday lunch before as it is so good and such good value, it was as good if not better. Every item on every plate tasted wonderful. I'd never eaten risotto made with spelt before and it was better than with rice. The...More

Lovely welcome with ramp to get me in to bar area. Had prewarned them about my wheelchair and one of our party being vegan: no problem for either and 2 dogs made very welcome with water and a biscuit. Excellent Sunday lunch with impeccable service....More

It's a half hour drive from Bath. The best way to get there from Bath is by rental car, or you could take a taxi. To take the bus would be about an hour and a half. It's a great spot -- it's worth the drive! Enjoy -
