Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We very frequently visit Jack Whites when passing by. Staff are always brilliant - above and beyond actually. And we regularly point this out to management in person when we can. Food is great too. Today however, we were stood waiting for a table. As...it was busy, we were stood by an area of the bar, where another group had previously been standing. A blonde waitress annoyedly approached us and asked us to move, and as we were moving out of the way, she said “you’re in the way of the staff area” rudely, and gesturing as if we had done something to annoy her. Completely inappropriate given that we weren’t to know this was a staff area and didn’t mean to be in anyone’s way. My father turned to her and said “that’s a bit rude”. After this, she commenced to gesture to her colleagues pointing us out and aggressively gesturing about us. It was very embarrassing and made us feel very uncomfortable. The initial comment was rude, but had she apologised everything would have been ok - we all say things in the wrong tone sometimes, especially when busy! However it was the ongoing gesturing and aggression that was horribly unprofessional, and quite honestly threatening. We left, as we couldn’t stay with the staff member in question pointing us out and complaining about us to all of her colleagues within our view. I never leave poor reviews and hate to do so. My past reviews are testament to this. A shame.More

Basic courtesy/manners is missing here. Stopped off here for a rest and a coffee. Coffee is good, food good. It costs nothing!

Shocking to be honest, went with my wife and 2 kids, waiting on the drinks for 15 minutes to start off with, when our order was taken i doubled checked with the waitress to make sure the order was correct,my wife's meal was wrong and asked for it...to be corrected while waiting i had a part of my toasted cheese onion and tomato sambo whick i made it a point to the staff that i didn't eat meat and low and behold there was ham in it,it turned my stomach which made me throw up,the manager on duty didn't think it was a big deal that a vegetarian was given meat in the sandwich and then try to make me pay for my meal,he couldn't manage a party in a phonebox, ruined out day away as my stomach was sick, never again will i enter the place,he also blamed the chef on everything which was not right to sayMore

Three of us arrived and were told 25 minutes so we had a drink at the beer garden and that was all grand. There was a chap in his 50s who was the restaurant manager we assumed but he had the personality of a brick...so if this reviews does anything it should be to suggest that the first person your customers meet when they come in is to have someone who can smile, speak and converse with them. Food was bland and we won’t be back. Hard to find a positive note but there is one, the girls who served our table were excellent, a blond girl with her hair in a pony tail in particular was super nice and really attentive. Great table staff, pity about everything else.More

Told half hour wait, ended up waiting hour. People that arrived after us got seats first. Hostess was rude and unhelpful. Leave ya waiting for menu when they seat you then longer to take order. Choice of food is low standard.

Sunday July 3, three adults were seated after a ten minute wait. The place was over-packed with customers and staff nearly falling over each other. While there seemed to be plenty of staff, there was evidently not enough to clean tables and seats. Ours were...smudged with food, especially the seat. One meal of beef was totally inedible, the meat was worse than Housekeepers' Cut. PLease use Round or Sirloin. The three scoops of mash were dehydrated, and as for the presentation... The other two meals were fish and chips, one of which was eaten due to hunger, the other half eaten. The oil in which the chips were cooked was not fresh. A glass was dirty. Not a good experience after the Harbourman Tri. Will NOT return .More

We stopped off at Jack Whites’s on the drive back to Dublin and were very lucky to get a table for 2 without a reservation! The place was buzzing, great atmosphere and the guy who was front of house was doing an amazing job getting...everyone sorted. We had a burger and Caesar salad and both were excellent. Will definitely be back.More

Average quality pub grub with good portion sizes. menu could do with a refresh, haven't seen it change in a number of years. inconsistencies in service, some servers are fantastic, go above and beyond but others like the "greeter" would benifet from a few customer...service sessions.More

The title says it all. We had to wait for a table for two and were given this smart device that bleeps when the table is ready. A three course meal is approx under 17 euro. Where would you get value like that. Veg soup...came piping hot, and stayed that way from start to finish. Deep fried Camembert could have been better. Steak med rare in lovely sauce with more on the side, hot chips, onions and mushrooms. Roast turkey with loads of veg for my dining companion. I couldn’t finish mine. So we opted for Pavlova and Banoffi takeaways. Nothing disappointed, service was fast and excellent. AsI paid for the meal, we were asked did we enjoy the meal and was everything ok. It’s one busy place and I can see why. Food is delicious. We will be back with more people next time.More

It took 49 minutes from ordering food to receiving it. Waiting staff were very good and apologetic while the manager was ignorant and offensive. The food when it arrived was average. This place has sharply declined in quality of experience in the last few years....This is my last visit here for a while.More

Conveniently placed at J19 on the M11 and that is probably the best thing I can say about this pub. The food was OK, nothing special, more quantity than quality. The decor is tired and a bit worn. The toilets badly need a clean never...mind a deep clean... toilet roll everywhere, sticky floors, cobwebs on the ceilings and faulty taps. Very disappointing given the several recommendations I was given 'as the place to stop' when driving from Dublin to Rosslare. However, staff were pleasant and service was quick.More

There are numerous caravan parks located only a few minutes drive away, such as Wolohan's Silver Strand - Google them for more info.
