Staff did not create a welcoming environment. I’ve been here loads and it’s very professionally ran usually with great staff, foot and drink. On this evening, the food was good, drink was good but the staff were unfriendly and pushed us out the door at...the end (even though it was empty). I was there with my young familyMore
Great value meals. 6 oz Steak recommended Staff friendly. Protective. Would order a steak and salad next time. Would ask for price in advance as I asked for a little extra ice cream with dessert. That incurred a charge of €1. What really surprised me...was no alcohol free beer on tap. Pint of pint of local delicious beer was €5 and a 330ml bottle of non alcoholic Heineken was €4.60! My favourite non alcoholic beer is €1.27 for 500ml IPA in Aldi. Something wrong in the thinking of attracting passing non drinking motorists. Next time" buyer aware"! And I'll be ordering Adam's ale....Water! Left €5 tip for friendly service.More
Was at this restraunt two weeks ago orgwr the fish and chip and to say I was disappointed was an understatement... Fish had an inch of batter on it and was soggy... And chips came out burnt... Won't be back this place has gone down...hill rapidlyMore
Heading to Cork we stopped for lunch. We weren’t sure that it was open, if not for the cars parked outside. The outside looks sad and old but inside it’s very wellcoming, clean and well organized. Lovely food and good prices. BRAVISSIMI!!!!
Being Ol' Geezers, we're a bit anxious going out and this was our second meal out since lock-down was eased. Jack Whites has done so much to adhere to Social Distancing, with glass partitions, separate entrance and exits and asking people to wear face coverings...until seated (disappointing to see so many not doing so-sad).. HANNAH was a lovely lady serving us and friendly, yet professional. We had the 3-course dinner for Euro16.50 - great servings too! Choice very good also and we could take home the dessert if we so wished. Beef, Ham and Fish were lovely and the meringue and banoffe very tasty. Well done to Jack White's - the cost of introducing all the PPE wasn't ladled onto the cost. We'll Be Back! Thank you for putting our apprehension to rest! Do visit and support our Community. Thanks Lads. ENJOY!More
Kids 3 courses €10 Adults 3 courses €17. Great selection for everyone .Not too many places a family of 5 gets a meal for €64. Great staff, excellent compliance with Covid rules.
We had a fantastic 3 course meal here - group of 5, with kids, and they were efficient, and such good value - only €16.50 all in pp... All food was fantastic would highly recommend this
We have often stopped in Jack Whites but today, after an expensive short break in Dublin, it made me realise just what a treasure the place really is. The set meal of 3 courses for €16.50 is as good as you will get. There is...a great choice, the food is delicious and the deserts are gorgeous. Added to that, I have to give a full 5 stars for their social distancing. This is a very busy restaurant but it hasn't stopped them removing a large number of tables, putting dividers in where necessary and all staff wore visors.More
Visited for a late lunch today. Great menu, 3 courses for €16.50, good food, fabulous homemade dessert, great service. Would highly recommend!!! Very impressed too with the social distancing between tables and the sanitising regime. Well done!!!
