Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time visiting but I dont think so we will be back again. Waiting for order really long and food so so salty, I didnt enjoy hake strips same as my husband. After paying we let waitress to know that chef should reduce amount of...salt for dishes. Wouldn’t recommend.More

We visited for lunch, and we greeted by the staff, all very friendly and welcoming to begin with. I asked for a soya milk cappuccino, which I believe was served to me with regular milk. We ordered our food which was just soup and the...garlic and parmesan chips each, we were left waiting between 45-50 minutes for our food. Tables which ordered after us were all served first. The server asked us had we had our food yet, which I replied to and told her no, while stilling watching people who had ordered after us all be served. Then we were charged €32 for this .. when we questioned it we were told it was actually €29.. so we were given €3 cash back. It was a shame because the food was actually quite nice, but completely overpriced and a bad experience all round.More

We visited for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is very stylish, comfortable and clean. The staff are so so friendly and very informative and helpful. They have a beautiful menu the flavour combinations really Show the chef knows what they are doing. The...portions are generous and beautifully presented. We also brought our two year old daughter and they were very accommodating. Overall an amazing experience and a welcome delight for wicklow town. 100% would recommend.More

We had lunch there with delicious sandwiches and unusual drinks. Fast and friendly service. Due to the sudden downpour we enjoyed a coffee and a tasty carrot cake.

We popped into the cafe just before three on Thursday last, not realising they close at three. The staff were wonderful, even if they led me astray with a gorgeous cheesecake. No mention of their imminent closing, no rushing us to finish up, no deliberate...cleaning around us to hurry us along. As we were upstairs we had no idea they were closing until we went to leave and even then they said no problem, with a smile. Sorry for delaying you.More

Myself my husband and two friends of ours went out for a meal on Friday night. From the time we arrived Luca met us and was so friendly. Brona was our server she was so polite and efficient. Andy was also so very friendly. We...didn’t realise it was tapas but it was such a lovely surprise. The food was absolutely amazing. We were full after it. Everything about the night was five star. We’ll definitely be back.More

I've had lunch and dinner here and the food was fantastic both times. Downstairs there's a service area with a great selection of sandwiches, rolls and salads along with a good selection of cakes and treats too but the dining area upstairs is worth a...visit on its own. Beautiful decor with the best music playing. If you happen to be in the arena I highly recommend a visit.More

I don't usually eat out as I like to cook, so when I do venture out it is to somewhere that offers two things: food I normally wouldn't cook at home and good reviews and ratings across various platforms. This was my second visit to...Sorrel&Eve for dinner and it is definitely one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Wicklow town. I've nothing to fault here, unlike other places in the town I've been to where the food was either overcooked, bland or the same as most other places (burgers, wings etc). The service was attentive and the food arrived promptly and was delicious, and the plates were ideal for sharing with my partner.More

I need to start this by saying we had 2 eggs Benedict (one gluten free) which were AMAZING. On entering the first words were ‘do you want a table?’ Not ‘good morning!’ or ‘hello’ We were handed menus and told to sit anywhere upstairs. We...were waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our order, no one came so I had to go downstairs to order. There were 3 other tables occupied, so not busy. A surprise therefore that it took 20 further minutes for the order to arrive. The experience of a cosy relaxed Sunday morning brunch was somewhat ruined by heavy handed staff members sorting cutlery at the bottom of the staircase. No eye contact, totally haphazard approach customer service this morning. Bitterly disappointing.More

Just dropped into Sorrel & Eve for lunch after golf nearby. Lunch for two (please try the breakfast Blaa) and great coffees. <€20 for two. Brilliant value and service. Lots of space upstairs or in the covered outdoor area. I would really recommend a visit.

Absolutely wonderful night in this beautiful smart restaurant. A warm welcome awaits you always from Natalie and her staff. The food is just delicious and never disappoints. We love the upstairs ambience which matches any spot in New York. Downtown Wicklow must be so proud...of this great little spot and we can’t wait to go back *****More
