Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful menu which delivered on its promise. Locally sourced food cooked to perfection with lots of imaginative touches. Extremely cosy interior , very attentive staff. Chef Marc deserves recognition for this 5 star establishment. Really exceptional food and experience, looking forward to returning 😊

We were in for dinner last night and had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding and the service equally so. Our server was excellent, friendly and efficient. I had the goat's cheese starter and it was delicious. Main was the venison which I opted...to have pink and I've never had better. Poached pear to finish on a high, WOW. Great atmosphere and I can't wait to get back.More

Amazing culinary experience at Lilys on Church Street. The staff are very welcoming and professional. The food is superb and the atmosphere and decor are delightful. I have not raved so much about a food and wine experience in a long time. The flavors of...the starter and main course were the perfect combination of taste and elegance. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Wicklow town.More

Visited Lily’s last summer (2020) where they were trialling a new brunch menu. It was fantastic then! Finally got back in August 2021 for brunch again. The decor has been completely changed - the place looks fantastic. The team have put a lot of time,...effort and investment into the premises. Delighted to see the brunch menu was as good as ever. We had the Asian Beef Salad and Beef Cheek Hash followed by a divine lemon meringue pie. Lovely attentive staff too. Will have to return and try dinner sometime!More

This restaurant really is excellent and deserves every piece of a 5 star rating. Mark is such a talented chef and you can see and taste that on every plate. Couldn’t fault this place, my family are still talking about the lobster linguine. Such a...nice local business that focuses on local sustainable ingredients. Very reasonable in cost for the quality of food. Couldn’t recommend Lily’s more.More

We visited recently, the wait for the food was terrible. When it arrived items that were listed in the menu were missing. We were also charged wrongly which added to our frustrations. Over all this place is over priced, had poor service and the food...was average at best.More

Myself and my husband decided to have a valentine date night tonight instead of tomorrow. And OMG was it an absolutely gorgeous meal at home. You really did the most amazing cod and chips we’ve had in a long time. We’d highly recommend Lily’s 😀

Pre-Xmas dinner with d'Gang 20/12/2020. Found another hidden gem of foodporn in the lovely Wicklow town...#LilysOnChurchStreet... Great menu from Starter to Dessert. We had the Set Menu. Started with the mouth watering appetizers goats cheese, lamb shoulder croquette and organic salmon which got us excited...for our main course. Divinely delicious and super tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection are understatement as describing the mains we had exceeded our expectation (Ribeye steak, Smoked Cheddar Arancini and Striploin of prime beef). Then, this great dining experience tonight ended with the heavenly delicious dessert selections of sticky toffee pudding, lemon tart & black cherries with french vanilla gelato and chocolate pistachio & orange cake which were all great finale to our very happy taste buds tonight. Very high complements to the Chef tonight. Last but not the least, very worth mentioning too is the Great waiting service we experienced. We were welcome with excitement and we felt special and very well taken care. They were very professional, polite, accommodating and flexible. The Maître d' even happily explained to us the sources of their supplies and as to how they are locally sourced with proudness of Irish products and the freshness of the ingredients were all key to this great experience tonight. Will definitely come back for more!!! #HighlyRecommended #ExcellentChoice #NoDisappointmentFromStartToFinishMore

Three of us had an outstanding breakfast at Lily's last Sunday morning. What I imagined would be a regular "Full Irish" breakfast turned out to be really exceptional in terms of the quality of the food, the way it was cooked and details like a...side salad with a really unexpected but hugely complementary dressing and beautifully fresh sourdough toast. Also, the coffee was just perfect. Our waitress was really attentive and super friendly. All staff were wearing masks as far as I could see.. Will be back for dinner sometime soon!More
