Very nice food, good service, nice atmosphere, very family/kiddie friendly - the chowder was a highlight

Have been to Kelly’s a few times as I live in Wexford. The food looks lovely but I am always disappointed with the taste. This time I had a tandoori wrap and my daughter had a vegetable roulade. My wrap was dry with hard lumps...of chicken coated in spices, I had to get mayonnaise to be able to swallow it. The veggie roulade, according to my daughter was “bland and weird”. It cost nearly €25 with a coffee and a sparkling water. I will not be back.More
Returned to Kelly's Cafe this week after two very disappointing visits, and what a difference. My last visit had left me a Very Disappointed Diabetic when I was served charcoal instead of my own Sourdough bread toasted. This time what can I say absolutely lovely,...my friends and myself left with smiles on our faces after one of the best breakfasts ever.More
Went to Kelly's Cafe to meet school friends and as I'm a diabetic brought my own bread for toasting. When my breakfast was delivered the toast was black and inedible. Absolutely disgusted that a chef would serve this, meaning all I had for breakfast was...two pieces of bacon and a fried egg. The waitress was absolutely horrified abt the toast and I was offered a cup of tea in place of my toast. Will not be going again as this is the second time I've had a problem. No third chances for Kelly's Cafe from meMore
I stopped at Kellys, which has been good in the past. I waited and waited and waited in the queue at the hot food section with people walking round me. Finally I asked was I at the wrong section and was told "Wait for x"....Finally I ordered. I was hungry and probably overordered. I ordered a bagel with spicy mexicanpork and a side plate of 2 salads. I did not realise that the bagel came with a salad, the one I was avoiding as it had dried fruit in it (cranberries). I sat outside. My tea when it came was cold and horrible and the bagel was so over toasted it was chewy and you could have broken your teeth on it The pork was tastless dry and chewy. terre was no sign of any sauce ? spicy. The lettuce in the overtoasted bagel was brown and the rest wilted. The salads on the other plate were completely tasteless, appeared to have a bit of vegetable oil on them and no seasoning.I gave the bagel back on the grounds of inedible and was offered a refund " but you have to go in"., I took a ham and cheese baguette . I said no toasting please and wrap it to go. That baguette was horrible, overpowering dollop of relish, chewy bready bread and plastic cheese. I ate a few bites and took half of it and the salad with me. I think btw the baguette was cheaper than the inedible bagel. I got to my friends and gave her the half baguette and salad. She pronounced both awful, she said bread bready and overpowering relish. Avoid this place. I bought a takeaway load of bread and takeaway pate. Both were good. Its whatever they are doing in the kitchenMore
Always loved coming here but recently found the service bordering on rude. Particularly poor today not a please, thank you in or an even acknowledgement when ordering/paying. An awful shame as food and location is lovely.
Always great food here ,huge selection to suit all tastes. Plenty of space inside. Planty of car parking outside, not too expensive.
I recently tried this restaurant and It was amazing. Very friendly welcoming staff. Great menu choice. I was intolerant to something that came with my order and the staff member gave me an alternative which was very nice. The food was very nice and well...presented. Great cakes and coffees too. Lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend Kelly’sMore
The food is quite expensive for what you get, and seating area has hard surface and roof so very noisy, extremely loud. How we were treated by some of the people working there was very poor. Not many choices in that part of town but...would go to McDonald’s over Kelly’s next time as at least there you are treated well.More
Lovely experience here yesterday for Breakfast. Nice choice on Menu. Food presented very nicely on plate. Plates warm Coffee very good and very reasonably priced
Dining here is always a pleasure so it was greatly missed during Covid lockdown. While their takeout meals are delicious and a good substitute they lacked the greater experience of "dining in" at the cafe and maybe having a nice main followed by a yummy...desert and a good coffee. Its great to returning to norma.More
Food was average could have a larger selection of sandwiches and rolls better service I have a walking problem and could have done with some help to carry my food to the outside seating area
Ordered chowder it was nice only thing was no fish found in it. It was tasty but way over priced for what was in it. Didnt try anything else.
I frequent this cafe so many times and it always delivers great food and great service, love the choices whether it’s for a breakfast or lunch or afternoon treat and they also do great pizzas you can order to take away too.
Have had a few good experiences here in the past. Last Sunday we visited at 4.15 p.m. Staff were totally disinterested in serving us. There were only two people in front of us and only one girl serving. It took 15 minutes before we got...the ask for our food. Eight people behind us at that stage!!! There were four other staff who were busy cleaning. If you don't want clients after 4 p.m. please close at 4 p.m. and don't have clients waiting. As they didn't have our first, second or third choice we decided to leave. We cannot comment on the food, therefore. Please don't visit after 4 p.m.on Sundays as you will be disappointed.More
