Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gorgeous little shop & cafe. I’d seen pics of the food online & decided to make the short trip from Wex town for lunch at the weekend. I had the chicken focaccia & himself had the duck wrap both served with a very large side salad of our choice. The ruby slaw & garden salad were both fresh & full of flavour. Exactly what we were craving. Only gripe was waiting time even though it wasn’t busy for takeaway food we still waited over 15 mins for our meals & drinks. Maybe it was an off day. I’ll definitely be back again

Visited while staying In Rosslare, My family were met with a smile and shown to our table. My wife had the Mango salad My son daughter and His Girlfriend The Burgers, while i had the Carbonara and garlic bread , Food was delicious and portions were too much. Prices were reasonable and service was great, could not flaw the service in any way, will return again.

We stopped off here while passing through to Rosslare not knowing what to expect as it is an unassuming little place and a bit off the beaten track. The club sandwich was excellent and the side salad was particularly good , all with very fresh ingredients, a great cup of coffee too. He veggie wrap was also top notch. The quality reflected the price. Will definitely visit here again

We could not understand why there was such an interminable wait on a chilly cloudy Monday. Customers were turned away while there were visibly unoccupied tables. They did not seem interested in communicating with customers about the waiting time and once seated it took 4o mins to receive our lunch. The quality of the food did not turn around the negative impression of this place.

I wanted an excuse to go in for lunch and when a friend came down from Wicklow, we went. I had the warm duck salad - it was better than I could ever imagine. My friend had the steak (local of course), roasted new potatoes and a side salad. He said it was a treat he’ll remember forever. He even took a dozen farm fresh eggs back to his Mam in Wicklow as she’s a keen baker. Apparently she was delighted. All this was before the second lockdown, so I am going in at least once a week for a takeaway lunch to “Support Local Business”. Can’t wait for the indoors dining to re-open as I will be back like a shot. Service was friendly, food was great and it didn’t break the bank. If you’re just off the ferry, it’s a stones throw from the N25 in Killinick, well worth a stop.

We just enjoyed a delicious lunch in Karoo, a real gem tucked away just off the main road to Rosslare. We had just a short wait for a table which was well worth it. We were hard pushed to make a decision as so many options appealed. I had the chicken burger which was by far the nicest burger I have ever eaten. It was so refreshing to be served with delicious baby potatoes and gorgeous salad instead of the usual chips. The kids also had the chicken burgers which were also delicious and such a generous serving for kids. And they loved the potatoes too. My husband has the meatball sambo which he also really enjoyed. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu options. The service was excellent, very friendly staff and owner. We got a couple of take away coffees in the little shop… really nice coffee too. Overall I would highly recommend this litttle South African gem.

This was so good we went back two mornings in a row. The warmest service, beautiful, fresh food prepared with love and excellent PPE precautions. A surprisingly varied menu for the tiny village it’s in, we loved everything about this place. Excellent coffee, fabulous homemade desserts & cakes, do NOT miss this one!! Owners are incredibly lovely & warm and the rest of the staff made our visits a complete delight after a long lockdown. Couldn’t recommend this more!!

This is a great local business. The food is always tasty with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are always welcoming. Love the little touches like hot water bottles and soft blankets so when it is busy you can enjoy the tables on the terrace. This place has a rustic casual feel. Great vegetarian choices too! Although I am an omnivore, often I go for them because they are super tasty. Thats such a great goat's cheese salad!

Had read previous reviews before stopping off for lunch today with a friend. Very friendly and helpful staff. I chose the mixed seafood pie from the Hearty Meals menu. It was perfect. Underneath a very tasty and generous herb crumb was a delicious creamy mixed fish pie. It was accompanied by a fresh salad. It all lived up to being a wonderful hearty meal. Thanks to all for making our visit to Killinick a very pleasant gastro experience!

Sweet jesus were the only words I had when the server asked how was my fish pie. I've been here maybe 10 times and each time I get a different dish thinking it has to fall short on some. Answer is simply no!!! The lemon crust on the pie was just to die for, full of fish and piping hot. I'd have it every day if I could. I asked the waitress if the chefs are the owners and was surprised to hear no as each dish is full of love and passion.... and they care which is huge these days!! Service was 100% and coffee was perfect. Keep it up Karoo
