My family and I went to the Thomas Moore Tavern 2 nights ago. The staff were friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken wings, I would highly recommend. I would also reccomend the Super Salad and the Curry. We will definatly be...backMore
Food and service were great. While seating was plentiful, we were placed at a wonky table next to the entrance to the toilets - upstairs had plenty of room throughout our visit, so perhaps ask for that upon arrival. The wings and curry were a...recommendation from diners the week previous and did not disappoint. The monkfish and lamb were also top notch! Charging for water during a meal is a bit rich however and does take away from what was a superb meal overall.More
Went here last night with the family for a meal and it was simply top class. We shared a few portions of chicken wings to start and I'm struggling to think of anywhere I've had better wings. Delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and...the potato dauphinoise was the best I've ever had. Also managed to taste the panko monkfish which was delicious with minted peas and chips. Finished off with dark chocolate creme brulee with peppered strawberries and again- it was just superb. The texture of the creme brulee was just perfect. Pints of Guinness also deserve a special mention as they were A1.
One slight issue for me is that I was charged €4 for 2 bottles of tap water. When drinking pints and soft drinks for kids etc I would expect this to be free of charge with a €120+ meal. I just prefer to drink water with my meal as I don't enjoy alcohol while eating. Maybe something to consider for management.
Food and service was incredible so I will be back.More
Service was excellent, very central location, lemon sole and beef burger was very satisfying and our kids portion (beef burger )was very generous and made with real
Also the best” nickerbockerglory” for my son which he still mentions .
Went here as 2 adults and 2 teenagers for dinner. Food was great, service was great and drinks were great. However, and it is a huge personal issue with me, we were charged €2 for a jug of water and €1 for each for each...pint of blackcurrant. This, in my view is extortion and is very poor business. It takes away from what was a fabulous meal and the very good service we received. Something for management to review.More
Great restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions were a good size, not too big but definitely not too small. It is a good place for children or large groups. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our meal.
