I’ve booked the services of Spice restaurant a number of times now for local business meetings and I wanted to share that the response from the audience has been fantastic. The food is delicious, well presented, in a timely manner and never any complaints. Emma and her team do a great job bringing what is required and have never let me down. Highly recommended

Thoroughly recommend Spice for excellent food in comfortable surroundings. First restaurant meal since lockdown, felt very safe and could see thorough attention to good hygiene and appropriate social distancing. Will definitely eat there again.

We had a wonderful meal in Spice last night. Myself, husband and two teen sons all love Indian and this did not disappoint. The food was fabulous! We started with poppadums and gorgeous dips. We all had different main courses and each was so flavoursome! My young son had a child’s portion which came with rice and naan and would have been enough for an adult. The child’s meal also came with ice cream and was great value. Our waiter was a lovely guy. Chatty, attentive and is a credit to this restaurant. Altogether a fantastic meal. We will be back the next time we visit Wexford!

Apart from having to wait over 1.15 hours for takeaway food, the experience of eating from this restaurant was disappointing to say the least. The most bland and tasteless Indian food we have ever had. The korma can only be described as similar to custard. We love Indian food and have had it in many different countries and also counties in Ireland. We put this in the bin, didn't even bother to complain. If you are going to sell yourself as an Indian food restaurant using Spice in your establishment name, then at least put some effort and spices into your cooking. Don't be fooled by the website of this restaurant, the food tastes horrible, in our opinion. No sign of spices or any other flavour. Never again!!

We went here whilst visiting family and took advantage of having baby sitters for the first time in 18 months. Sadly many great restaurants in Wexford have closed since we were last home. We went out on a Wednesday night and it was like a ghost town. We tried several of our old favourites only to find them closed. Other places were open but were stopping food service. Now, we could smell this restaurant but finding it was a nightmare. You have to go through a pub then up a stairs. Clearer signage would help. Fortunately they were still serving though there was only one other table who were just leaving. The menu is pretty limited but we were so hungry by this stage that we just ordered quickly some Indian standards, paneer to start, chicken tikka masala for main with rice and nan, a pint and half pint of cobra. The portions are large and it was tasty and warm but there was zero spice which is ironic given the name of the place. This made the paneer quite bland as doesn't have much taste anyhow. The chicken tikka was like eating a nice chicken in a tomato sauce. The nan bread was very poor. I sincerely doubt it was freshly cooked in a tandoor oven, it was very dry and like those long life supermarket ones. Disappointing that they are still catering to the "I dont like spicy food brigade" I had hoped those days were well gone. The staff were lovely and friendly service. The young waiter we had serving us was clearly very new, but that's okay he will get more confidence in time. The bill was a shock though at 75euros.!! We hadn't really paid attention to the price before ordering as a curry house is generally reasonable. But that is the price for a top end curry house like Lasan here in Birmingham, one mentioned in the Michelin guide. Unfortunately we won't return as the price is not justified and I want a curry that tastes like curry!

Not really impressed. I eat in Bradford, UK regularly (the UK home of all Indian food)and from reading the reviews for Spice India I thought finally I found somewhere in Ireland that was as good as the Bradford restaurants. The food was very expensive, for a starter, main course and a glass of wine it was €36. Although the food was just okay I felt €25 to €30 was a fair price. I do a lot of travelling and am sorry to say I won’t be rushing back as there are lot of better choices in Wexford. Maybe it’s the premium prices for an average meal that hurts me the most.

Had to leave all of my food, which I’ve never done in any Indian I’ve eaten in. Staff lovely and could not fault them how ever the food was disgusting! As you have seen roasted leg of chicken €19.95 (Chef Special) turned out to be pieces of chicken covered in god knows what and tasted off - Coconut rice was disgusting and oily - My partner even said this Korma tastes very unlike a Korma but ate his - probably the best was the popadoms which as you can see we’re not complementary. Maybe others have eaten and the dishes were of better quality but I definitely could not recommend this restaurant.

Visited spice recently with a group of friends on a weekend away. A few of us have dietary requirements and the staff were so accommodating. We started off with the house platters which were so tasty and great for sharing! One of the staff members recommended the goan fish curry and I was delighted I listened to them. All the dishes tasted so fresh and so flavoursome. The naan bread as well was next level. Want to thank the team for looking after us that night and will definitely be back again. 100% would recommend to a friend

Just amazing. Starters of squid, and Aloo Bonda, main course Goan Fish Curry, Lamb Jalfrezi, Pilau rice and Garluc and Coriander naan. Cheesecake and Indian Kulfi ice cream for dessert. Lovely wine. 100% recommendation! Extremely pleasant waitress. Great music too. Two things I genuinely don't associate with an Indian restaurant is European/Irish music and homemade desserts, honestly, both are fantastic here! Just go!

Gave the spice restaurant a try. To be honest read the reviews beforehand and should have listened. The restaurant I would say is clean but other than that , that is the only good point. My alarm bells started ringing when a family in front complained to the waiter about the “bland , tasteless” food they had been served. We had the popadom starter which was rubbish, Stale poppadoms with a selection of weird chutneys. One which was basically onions in a weird sauce , a mint yoghurt which was like a frozen smoothie and a mango chutney which tasted like is was out of a jar. For starter I had the beef kebab and my girlfriend had onion bargees . The beef kebab was like eating old leather. Was dry and tasteless. On the menu it stated it come with a chilli sauce and garlic sauce. The only sauce it came with was the same onion sauce that was served with the poppadoms. My girlfriend told me that she thought the onion bargees were ok. Onto main I had the chicken bhuna and my GF chicken tikka masala. We ordered cheese naan , garlic naan and a rice. I can honestly say that the curry was awful. I have had many a curry in my life and this was by far the worse. I would honestly say that I enjoy a weatherspoons microwave curry better as it has more taste. With 3 bottles of bulmers the total bill was €88.90. Absolute rip off for what we were given. Ingave €90 as I’m a nice guy. I didn’t complain at the time as I don’t like to cause a fuss but I would honestly say totally avoid. I’m summary 2 stars at a push but I will rate it as 1 star. In summary a tourist trap.

We were over on holiday and decided after reading the reviews to visit as we love Indian food. The restaurant itself was decorated lovely and the staff very attentive. Loved the Halloween decorations. The popadoms were really fresh and the accompanying dips were tasty. I am vegetarian and ordered the lentil and vegetable Dhansak - it was ok and had spinach in it which was nice. The rice tasted like packet rice, ie looked good but no flavour for a pilau rice. My husband ordered the South Indian Lamb curry - which tasted grainy and the lamb was all chewy and fatty. The Nan bread was extremely good. When the gentleman came over to clear the plates he asked if everything was ok and we said about the food and he took the lamb curry off the bill. A lovely atmosphere, shame about the food itself.

We were staying in Wexford firva few days and although it was quite warm, we had a longing for a nice curry! Spice was recommended to us at our hotel and it really didnt disappoint. Our waiterlr informed us that the spices are all freshly ground in house and true to fact, the fantastic flavours proved his claim! He recommended the prawn mango curry and the south indian chicken curry and they were both so flavoursome. We had some nice pilau rice and naan bread together with an aloo saag. We were quitr full after the big portions so we shared a beautiful lemon tart with some coffees. All in all, we'd higly recommend. Also, forgot to mention the ultra friendly staff and incredible ckeanliness! Certainly worth a try if you're visiting Wexford.

A group of 11 of us ate there on Saturday night to celebrate a friends birthday ….from the moment we arrived we were met with nothing but kindness and accommodating service …everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing and the food was nothing short of incredible …but what made our evening was the hostess that greeted us. She was kind and outgoing and by the end of the night we were all in agreeance that she was the light of the restaurant.

Went to Spice recently and ordered the veg. Biryani. What I was given was not a Biryani, the vegetables themselves were good but the sauce (Biryani is a dry curry) was inedible and had to send it back. I then ordered the chocolate brownie, the was overdone and dry. The ice-cream was nice and out of huger I ate some of the brownie. Don't go here if you want a true Indian meal, go somewhere esle! Wasn't even asked for my COVID cert.
