Crust is bringing true Neapolitan Pizza to Wexford! Neapolitan pizza is impossible to beat. It is soft, chewy, flavoursome and with a hint of char – it is where pizza all began! You can see why the Neapolitan Margherita is now protected by UNESCO. Inspiration behind the concept and menu has been driven by Chef/Owner Richard Whitty, who trained and worked in Ballymaloe Cookery School and travelled to Naples to complete the Vera Pizza training in accordance with “Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana" (AVPN), where he learned the traditional Neapolitan method of pizza making. His concept - to bring the traditional Neapolitan pizza base to Wexford, with the best of artisanal Irish ingredients.

Crust never disappoints with authentic and delicious pizzas, great ambience matched with friendly service. One of Wexford's little treasurers. Definitely worth a try if visiting Wexford Town.

We were grateful to get a walk-in here at Crust on a busy Thursday night. This artisan pizzeria was a surprise find in Wexford and had rave reviews on many of the national payers.
My favourite was the how the restaurant showcases Ireland’s award wining food suppliers highlighting the successful produce Ireland is known for, like Gubeen sausage & Toonsbridge Mozzarella

We were a busy family group of 6 adults & 5 busy children. The staff were exceptional, patient and correct level of attentiveness. Food was delicious and locally sourced ice cream a bit hit ! We had a very memorable birthday celebration. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Wexford.

Pretty disappointed with an order we collected less than 15 mins ago for takeaway. Ordered a garlic focaccia & Parma pizza. The focaccia hasn’t even a hint of garlic on or in it. Nor does the garlic dip we ordered. Tastes more like a sour cream dip. Our Parma pizza is missing the rocket & is cold. Shame as the base itself is nice. I’d expect when collecting our food (which we ordered & stood outside waiting for so it’s not like we were late collecting it) & driving less than 5 mins home to arrive home with a hot pizza.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
I'm was disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy your takeaway on Wednesday. I am sorry about the missing rocket for the Parma, it comes on the side so that it doesn't wilt in the box. On this occasion I've forgotten to give it to you and is unfortunate because it really compliments the pizza.
As for your other complaints, they are unexplainable and definitely not the standard we want to set. We are working our hardest to adjust from being a restaurant to a full time takeaway and acknowledge that some mistakes might happen.
I only wish you could of called or messaged on the night and we would of rectified our mistake.
As per your last review, I know you enjoyed your visit and hope you give us the chance to redeem ourselves in the future.

First trip to Wexford since restrictions lifted and made my way to Crust for a take away. The pizza gets better every time I visit. I highly recommend the mouthwatering Aubergine and Four Cheeses - there was a not a crumb left. Can’t wait to visit soon again. Great work team Crust and a big shout out to Rich. The restaurant is also looking gorgeous as always.

Visited this restaurant yesterday evening and will most definitely be back! We had the meat sharing platter to start followed by pizzas which were delicious and the toppings were so fresh. The salted caramel ice cream for dessert is a must try! The restaurant had all the guidelines in place and the staff were extremely efficient and friendly. This is a must visit if you fancy a pizza in Wexford!

We visited Crust in January 2020 with my elderly parents . We shared a large platter for starters, and it was so fresh and tasty and our main course of pizza's were to die for. The butchers block is highly recommended for the meat lovers. The base is so light that there was plenty of room left for drinks after.

The pizza's were great as is normal. I will say though my partner got a plain margerita and the mozzarella was definitely below par, so a slap on the hand for that.
There was no ice for drinks. In this heat that's hanging around Ireland at the moment ice is nearly essential.
Finally, the charcuterie board was really poor. 4 olives for two, a small artichoke heart quartered, ham and some bresola, on a plate.. Fine, call it what it is though, its ham with a couple of olives on a plate.
The staff were constantly asking if everything was OK, to the point of being irritating.
I've gone here fairly regularly over the last few years, but I'll be a little more hesitant next time around.

I have to admit I am surprised that you did not enjoy the mozzarella on this occasion, as it is the same Toonsbridge mozzarella that we have been using since we opened.

We opted for takeout and it was really tasty. Delicious fresh toppings and friendly service. Note that this is far from fast food! Your food is cooked fresh to order so definately best to phone in your order in advance.

What has annoyed me slightly about this restaurant is that when I booked online, it gave me the impression that only one table was available for 2 people at our chosen time......hmmm? It was totally empty inside with just a couple sitting outside.
Is this booking system a bit of a con into getting people to book or were there ‘loads’ of no shows??
Not impressed
On a positive note, the pizzas were okay...hot and full of flavour.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, we are delighted you enjoyed our pizzas and found them hot and full of flavour.
I have to admit we are a little surprised and confused about your comments regarding our booking engine. Resdiary is the most used booking engine in Ireland and we have all our tables available online, with nothing closed off. If you click the icon on the bottom with the time, it will give you availability every 15 minutes to book a table. Did you click the time icon on the bottom to choose your preferred time? If a time does not show up, it means that particular time is booked up. The only other reason I can think of is if the other tables had finished and left the restaurant before you arrived. We allocate 1.5hrs for every booking, but some guests may just have a pizza and not take up the full 1.5hr allocation. There is no other explanation, because our tables are always live online and never closed off. We are a small restaurant, so it would not take too many reservations before we are fully booked.
It is a pity you did not mention this to us on the day, as we could have explained it to you in person. We are a small business working during a challenging year, so I can assure you that our aim is to cater for as many customers as possible and keep our standards high.

We left an hour into the service. Ordered a starter which arrived quick. We waited 30 mins before our dishes were cleared and our server disappeared. Two tables were served ahead of us after we ordered 1 pizza after our starter. After no one approached our table and the second table was served we decided to leave. Manager was rude and the staff seemed stressed. A large order for takeout pizzas came through during our order and was prioritised ahead of us. Disappointing experience. Chautterie consisted of very few items, with just 2 beers, totalling 28 90 altogether. Manager was rude and disinterested. Staff were stressed. Staff at till apologised for the experience- no hard feelings. Disappointing experience- got food in a local takeout afterwards. Wouldn't visit again.

The highlight of our family week in Wexford was our dinner in Crust.
The pizzas were as always fantastic.
And we felt safe there as the staff were constantly cleaning their hands, menus etc

We called in at 7.30pm on the chance of getting a table . Unfortunately the guy at reception told us he had nothing available for the rest of the night . We left and went for a walk and decided to order a take out from here . We noticed on their website that there was reservations available , so we booked in for 9pm . When we returned the guy at reception had nothing to say about turning us away . He even started accepting walk ins while we were there.
Our evening didn't improve when the food came out . Extremely bland ,cold and tasteless .
It didn't help when one of the waitresses started spraying and cleaning the table beside us , catching us with some of it .
It looked like a few kids trying to run a business and not succeeding.
Unfortunately we have nothing good to say about this business.

Thank you for taking the time to write, however I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your recent visit to Crust. I can assure you that we try our best to accommodate all customers that come through our doors, and are sorry we did not have a table when you first called in to check. It can be very difficult to judge the table situation, as we may be fully booked at one time but some people only come in for a quick pizza and can be gone again in 30mins, while others might stay for 2hrs. This often means that later in the night if people leave early, we can accommodate extra bookings/walk-ins.
I am very surprised to hear that you found your food bland, we have a huge range of different pizzas and toppings. We source some of the best Irish ingredients, from many well know Irish producers such as Toonsbridge Mozzarella, Gubbeen Meats, Local Irish cheese... so I am very sorry if these were not to your liking.
I apologise that someone was spraying the table beside you, I agree that this must have been most unpleasant. I will certainly speak to the team about being more careful in the future.
However, I have to admit that I am most upset and shocked by your harsh comment about kids running a business and not succeeding, and feel that it is out of line. I am certainly not a child and for the last 4 years me and my team (many of whom are still there) have worked hard to get our business to where we are today. We appreciate that you did not enjoy your experience on this occasion and I admit that sometimes things can go wrong, but we work hard to maintain a high standard and have a reputation for looking after all our customer.

I had never visited crust nor had I read any reviews so I had no preconceived notions as to what it would be like well all I can say is the place blew my socks off it was scrumptiously beautiful the pizza was simply Devine and the staff were friendly efficient and courteous. One word sums up Crust. Superlative

My daughter and myself 'happened' upon this eatery as we meandered through Wexford. Well what a treat it turn out to be. Best pepperoni pizza ever my daughter said and I have to say the aubergine pizza was just delightful. Well done. And we finished it off with cookies and cream and raspberry sorbet ice-cream. Can't wait to go back!
