Great lunch

Just out from a top class lunch in Sid's. I am a regular but after such a nice lunch I said I'd put up a good review. It was very busy, always a good sign of a place and I had the fresh cod in breadcrumbs with mashed potatoes and veg. Fairly simple lunch but I couldn't leave a scrap it was so nice. The fish was fresh today I'd say, white as snow within the breadcrumbs, the potatoes were perfect, not too creamy and the veg was perfect too. Credit where its due, Sid's is a great local place, spotless, friendly, busy and satisfying.

Simple food- good service.

Useful stopping point when passing through New Ross. This diner is situated outside the town, has easy parking around two sides and is very accessible. We had some paninis and chips and all was good- nice lunch meal before hitting the road. Simple food, quick and helpful staff. Overall just what you need on the way past this part of town.

We went to sids twice during our stay in new ross. Its a great spot, had mini and full breakfasts first morning then we tried the pancakes and waffles. Everything was delicious and staff were so helpful. Definitely recommend!

Have to say was very disappointed. We are on holidays in wexford and was touring the sites in new ross. We stopped here to have a cuppa before visiting dunbrody. Because we were not having dinner the staff member was not interested. I was told "what if we get busy". Now I understand the situation if there was a queue waiting but plenty of empty tables. We would have left at least 30 euro and would have been gone in about 20 mins. In a time when people are craving business I thought it was very rude.

Dreadful. Couldn't cut, never mind chew the beef, driest mashed potatoes ever. And frozen veg. Avoid at all costs if you value your digestive system, and not cheap either.

Very helpful and friendly staff who didn't rush us. Food was fresh and there was a good portion size. Good location if you are driving as it has free parking outside! 👏 👏

Fabulous home cooked food friendly staff and great table service, had lunch here with family members the waitress was very helpful showed us to our table , no where in area to beat traditional home cooked food like here credit to all the staff , great value for money

Sids cured my cancer

Not too long ago I was floating about New Ross And I was in need of some food. I was just about Literally just 4 feet away from this Siddys diner And I was very hungry. When I walked in the Noor I was cured of my testicular cancer ⭐️⭐️

To be honest we nearly drove by Sid's but we're glad we didn't...very understated premises...maybe a bigger sign at the entrance and a different signage over the door...sorry but when you're in the sign business you notice these things...🙂 However we are greeted by a very pleasant young girl who showed us to our table outside..socially disanced and spotless... She returned promptly and informed us of the dishes on the board..to numerous to type here. We opted for the Honey bacon and chicken gougeons with mash and veg...two cokes and water.. All was delivered within what seemed like only 5 minutes... My bacon dish was very well presented with mash ,cabbage ,carrot and turnip all piping hot...as was the chicken dish.....one thing though..a small jug of grave might be offered... My friend said his chicken pieces were the nicest he'd ever had and I agreed..the light batter/breadcrumbs were so tasty and not overpowering the chicken... We decided to try a dessert, apple pie and trifle.....again excellent... I nearly couldn't finish my trifle.but managed anyway...😁 Two teas to finish and we were stuffed. It's such a pleasure to find somewhere nice to eat when you're in unfamiliar places and not go for the usual McD's or pizza.... Proper food served by caring staff.. When the bill arrived we thought they had undercharged us but no...just good value for money..... There's a lot of places that could learn from Sid's Diner.... Can't wait to return...

Feeling peckish near New Ross, Co Wexford, Ireland ? Pop into SID's Diner on the edge of town (Northside) ...delicious hot food ~ wide variety -~ freshly cooked ~ very tempting ! Decided on delicious sandwich ~ handmade and toasted to perfection! Yummmmmeeeeeeee!!!

Went here last month with my family to say I was disappointed is an under statement.first of all we had our orders taken by an older lady with black curly hair who I presumed was the manager/owner she was very rude and had no patience while my kids where deciding what to eat after we sat down we waited 32 minutes for our food to be brought to the table my lasagna was hard from being left in the heat so long my kids sausages had Defo been cooked well before they where served and they had shriveled up and my husbands panini was stone cold inside and as I complained about this the lady who took my order basically told me there was nothing wrong with the food and was soooo rude to me about it and then she went and gave out to the waitress about it even though the waitress wasn’t the one who was looking after our table she was. I actually taught the waitress looked like she was going to cry because of the way the lady spoke to her I will never return to this place again and even after I made the complaint I could see all the staff behind the counter talking about us and in the end I left without finishing my food as I felt like all eyes of the staff where on me after I made a complaint..people shouldn’t be made feel that they have done something wrong just because sids diners food is not up to standard

Breakfast was delicious. The service could have been friendlier however but this did not bother us so much as we were only in and out to have a quick breakfast before hitting the road.
