Ground floor café/bistro at Ann McDonalds Mary Street, The Upper Deck is used for private functions, meetings, family get togethers or over flow in very busy times. Our upstairs is also dog friendly. We also have a beautiful outdoor dining area. We open Monday To Saturday until 7.30pm & Sundays 5.30. There is an electric charging point across the road for all electric vehicles.

Myself and my wife and daughter Dined here this evening and we were not disappointed. The minute you walked in the door you were made feel very much at home and relaxed. The food was delicious and the attention to detail was excellent.
The menu has a wide variety of tasty foods and all dishes we ordered were perfectly cooked.
If you like to spoil yourselves with dessert then get the chocolate fudge cake lol, it’s savage.
I would highly recommend this eatery and it’s also fantastic value.

We enjoyed a meal here while on holiday in the area. Food was great, homecooking at its finest. We received a super warm welcome from the owner and her staff. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area, pop in for coffee and a cake or stay for dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Fabulous food. I order a chicken satay panini and deviated from the menu to have goats cheese also. This was no problem for staff. My husband had a breakfast roll and said it was the nicest one he has ever had. Coffee was perfectly made ( I am fussy about coffee!) We were sitting outside and staff were so helpful and checked on us several times. We were not rushed into finishing our food. I unfortunately left a parcel underneath my table and when contacted they were so helpful in getting it to its destination. Will Definately be back for the chicken satay....... Amazing......

Went for lunch with family ordered warm chicken salad it arrived with big lumps of deep fried bread rolls which I was told was croutons. The bacon was cheap and there was bottled sweetchilli sauce poured all over salad. The lady in charge was very loud while she was helpful she was really mean to her staff it meant we felt very uncomfortable.
It is very over priced better places in town with similar prices

Thank you for your very unkind review,firstly i would like to point out that cafe/restaurants dont survive for almost 30 years by serving poor quality,five minutes into service i personally checked your table to see if everything was ok,you commented on the croutons,which were replaced by smaller crispy ones,i also enquired if you would like to change your dish to something else,which you refrained from,i enquired if every other dish served to the table was ok and your dining companion said yes.We have a very small turnover of staff which speaks very highly of our establishment,i dont know which member of our senior team you were referring to as been rude or loud but on my recollection of the period the only loud that was to be heard in the diningroom was you child screraming all the time during your visit .Just remember that behind all small businesses there are people with feelings that work very hard and especially in these times

My wife and I dined here last week. They have 4 tables of 2 available outside. When we went inside the shop area the owner informed it was table service and we were seated by her outside and given menus. She returned shortly afterwards to take our order. We ordered some drinks and sandwiches and the next time we saw her was with card machine in hand looking for payment! We hadn't received any of our order at this stage and were taken aback by her pushiness for us to pay. We found it very expensive for what we got and never saw the owner again after payment was made. Very unprofessional from the owner. Sandwiches and drinks were fine but overpriced. Would avoid in future

Thank you so much for taking time to write this review ,our establishment will be open for indoor dining from july 5th when restrictions are lifted as it stands we are unfortunate not to have an outdoor space behind our building so on the day of your visit we had two tiny tables in front of cafe and two more further up the street outside the next premises where you were seated(this was first day of outdoor dining) which we have never participated in before,on the day in question we served very few people outdoors except take out coffees after your review i checked outdoor cameras to clarify your review and we clearly presented your bill after you recieved your food and we exchanged your hot chocolate for you. we apologise you were offended by this but it is essential in these difficult times as we are working with skeleton staff and cannot justify staffing the street for four small tables. with regard to pricing you were given the menu which is priced in detail. we take great personal offence to being referred to as pushy for charging for a service provided. the hospitality sector has suffered greatly during this pandemic as has many others sectors so support from the public would be very grateful in these challenging times. behind every buisness they are very hard working owners and staff

Went with my partner the other day for breakfast as she started a new job recently and I wanted to surprise her.
we were sat at the back of the
Restaurant we were told we would have to leave in 45 mins as someone would be coming in for our table.
As a result we weren’t able to relax for the duration of our meal as we were rushing to have our food eaten.
Only to be told at the end our meal they didn’t need our table after all!
I ordered the breakfast wrap & orange juice which I reluctantly paid for.
my partner then ordered the fry without beans and mushrooms but the whole plate was covered with them I was going to complain but my partner didn’t want me making a scene.
I don’t know where they are sourcing their orange juice but if I wanted orange juice from the Congo I would of bought a plane ticket over and I still would of paid less.
Needless to say I was disappointed and will not be back if you are willing to take out a second mortgage to have orange juice then it might appeal to you but if not then I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

The food was good however the service left a lot to be desired. When asking the lady for a clean napkin as the one provided to the table was dirty, she literal scowled and snatched it from my husbands hand . This was probably the reason why when his slice of apple pie was provided it was an inch wide ??? It looked like half a slice . I only wish I had taken a photo. As there was no itemised bill we can only assume that this half a slice of apple pie and cream cost approx €6.60?? There is just no enjoyment in eating out any more between the small portions and crazy prices.

Just enjoyed the most wonderful Sunday Lunch with my family.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The homemade Apple Crumble is absolutely delicious.
Can’t wait to go back.

Passing through New Ross we decided to go for a bite and were pleasantly surprised when we ended up in Ann McDonalds cafe. We got a friendly welcome, and they were taking all the proper procedures regarding the Covid-19 rules. I'm celiac and find it hard to find small cafe's that I can eat in, but pretty much everything on the menu was gluten-free! Not only that, it was delicious and freshly cooked! Would reccomend 10 out of 10 and will definitely be back to try out more of the menu.

We stumbled upon this cafe when passing through New Ross and are delighted we did. Staff were v accommodating in seating our family of five. All food was very tasty and real comfort food on a cold winters day.
Kids burgers were massive and v tasty.
The chips were yummy proper home cut chips!
All staff were v friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere while we were there.

Stopped for breakfast for 2 and were immediately seated outside with our dog. The owner attended us immediately, despite being short staffed. She also brought a water bowl for the woofer. Food arrived promptly. The portions on the smashed avocado toast, with egg and bacon were unbalanced. Too much bread, too little avocado. Bacon was not as crispy as expected. The pancake stack was tasty however there was too much syrup added and again bacon was not crispy. Overall a nice meal with exceptional customer service. We would recommend a visit.

We were new in the town and pretty much every place was closed on a Sunday afternoon except for Ann's cafe. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly staff and Ann was very warm and welcoming (she was there herself working on Sunday which I admire greatly). The food was gorgeous and the kids loved their smoothies and pancakes! We went back several times after during our stay. Highly recommend, go in for cup of coffee, lunch and a friendly chat.

My family visited Ann's restaurant for lunch while on a visit to New Ross from Dublin. Ann was so welcoming and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and we had a really nice experience and would highly recommend a visit to Ann's restaurant while visiting New Ross Town.

Stopped by while in New Ross. Service with a smile… Efficient too. Food was yummy… From the seafood basket, to the vegetable curry to the hake and even the burger. Portion sizes left us all satisfied… and let’s not talk about the scrumptious desserts… well and truely satisfied… Never mind the Kennedy attraction of New Ross; Ann McDonalds cafe is worth checking out.

I got a full Irish breakfast in Ann's cafe this morning. All I can say is "WOW" , exactly what I was hoping for and more. The quality of the food is 2nd to none. Made with such a high standard from , quality, preparation, efficiency and of course more important taste. Dinners very reasonable here too. Maybe next time we'll come for that instead.
Nothing beats a friendly staff with great attitude and enthusiasm. In the times we are in right now , Ann and her staff made us feel so welcomed ☺ travelling from Tipperary, I would highly recommend this place. Looking forward to returning already 😃
