So looking forward to my pizza and garlic bread. Sorry to say it was completely average. The garlic bread I was expecting for 6.50 had barely any butter. It was actually white dry dough. Please slice dont let urselves down

The Pizza was amazing! I can't say enough about this wonderful restaurant, delicious food and amazing customer service. Our Family was staying at Waterford Castle where upon our arrival after travelling for 12 hours told us there was no food available as we had no...reservation at the castle restaurant and the golf club was closed. (BOOO WATERFORD CASTLE) We called Slice Wood Fire Pizza and told the owner John that we were stranded on the Island with no food and no car. Even though he was about to close his kitchen, he offered to make us dinner and not only that.... he drove it to the ferry for us. This kind of amazing customer service is hard to find and I hope everyone who stays at the castle considers ordering from Slice Wood Fire Pizza. Thank you John!More
The whole experience was great. Owned by great guy, staffed by artisans and oven was top notch. Johnny the owners enthusiasm for high quality pizza was faultless, to the point of making our gluten intolerant niece in her words the best pizza she had ever...had. The crusts were perfect and the liberal but not thrown on toppings first rate with full fresh ingredients including the sauce base. We wanted a sit in place but they are in refurb and only doing takeaway, the beautiful aromas and look of the huge copper clad wood fired oven was just too good, so we sat on the outside stools and were all treated like first customers to an opening night. To top the great experience Johnny even gave us a free gift of a measured set of ingredients to make his spot on dough, which l would rate as in top three l have ever had though no1 for base. Top team, top pizza, top craic and hope them well for when they finish the refurb as it will be a great cozy classy restaurant to chill with great food and a wee glass of wine( and not expensive for REAL pizza).More
Probably the best pizza place in Waterford, always comes as it should and tastes utterly delicious, the pepperoni on my pizza was very spicy, the cheese as well as the sauce were melty and sweet. Garlic Bread was also quite bitter which I liked, also...seem to serve it in pizza and regular bread form, so, I think it makes it stand out, which I would use to describe this place overall. Slice is probably the closest you can get to true Italian pizza here or really anywhere in Ireland, if I’m honest, it really is unique and food that’s worth enjoying every last bite.More
Outstanding pizzas. Great menu and always intetesting specials. A real artisan offering, streets ahead of the fast food pizza companies. Highly recommend. Cant wait for covid restrictions to end so that we can go in.
Great service by Ronan , very professional- dropped pizza into house didn’t even have to get up. Beautiful pizza - only negative ,driver wouldn’t stay and have can with us, used drink driving as excuse
Heard nice things about this place so we decided to give it a try, without writing a long winded review. The food was expensive and mediocre, the restaurant was cramped and honestly trying far to hard to be different, the crust was burnt, the toppings...were undercooked and overpowering. During the meal and whilst I was paying i wasn’t asked a single time if everything was ok.More
All I can say is wow. As a chef myself of 13 years worked in Italian restaurant myself this is with out doubt the best pizzas I have ever had in ireland. The young lady maning the pizza ovens has a great career ahead(she is...in culinary school) the spicy baby potatoes were fab also. Honestly could not recommended more.More
We come eat here at least once a month.. sometimes more depending on their specials. They do a new special pizza every week and you can be sure its something outstanding every week. Pizza's are freshly made while you wait.. the surroundings are intimate thoughtfully...laid out. The staff are always smiling... you will not get betterMore
I must say the pizza from slice woodfure pizza place is absolutely devine. It is ready quite quick and the staff are so nice. Lovely place with gorgeous decor. I would highly recommend slice.
Read so many good reviews about this restaurant, so when we decided to eat out tonight and have Pizza, I suggested Slice.. we ordered and the waitress came back and said they didn’t have any Ham for a Hawaiian Pizza or the meatzza, so bacon...then they didn’t have the other meat suggested... so when we finally agreed on 2 pizzas with chicken.. they got it the order wrong..I was to hungry to say anything so we decided to eat the food, which genuinely wasn’t great. Couldn’t rate it. Was disappointed.More
Lovely atmosphere, we sat out the back and despite the September weather I felt like I was on holidays with the chill music and amazing food. Will 100% be visiting again!
I have had slice pizza many times. Got it again last week. The young staff on duty last Sunday evening were so lovely , friendly & efficient , each and every one of them . The pizza was unreal, if you haven’t tried it you...must. Best pizza I’ve ever had & have had it many times. Lots of local ingredients sourced. John puts his heart & soul into his business & food & it shows. Love slice. Beware if you have a slice pizza no other pizza from any where else will ever be as good. You have been warned 👌🏻More
Been here many times, pizza has always been nice. But went in today and there was a misundersing about the collection time that the staff didn't properly clarify. I made no complaint at this point in time. However, the owner launched into a verbal attack....Eventhough I did not feed the conversation he kept raising his voice to me. No excuse for this behaviour. Other customers in the restaurant witnessed this. Not going back after this unprofessional behaviour. Your reaction was completely out of proportion to the situation. There is no justification for raising your voice to someone when they keep saying OK to what you are saying. pity, wont be going back. I have even been praising your pizzas in the past. But this experience puts me off your pizzas unfortunately.More
