THE PIZZA Fine organic Italian flour, fresh yeast, slow proving dough, organic italian tomatoes. Toppings sourced from artisan Italian & Irish suppliers. What an absolutely fantastic gesture made by the people of this restaurant. During our busiest period of the coronavirus we in the health service were thrilled to receive free of charge, numerous delicious pizzas while in the middle of our shifts. It really was a fantastic gesture and one that will not be forgotten. Thank you again from all us here at Caredoc in Waterford, it shows community spirit at its finest. And just so you know, the quality and taste was 5 star.

Amazing food, Service, and best drinks in town!!!

Burzza is a gem in Waterford and I wish we had a Burzza in every town in Ireland. A unique menu with fantastic and tasty food. The Spanish croquettes, not just any croquettes, croquettes with a sauce they should sell in a jar. the Risotto, amazingly well prepared with Spanish chorizo. The Pizza, unique and they actually do know how to make a nice Italian pizza. And what can I say about the drinks? Mojitos with real taste, not some syrup (trust me, I have had the syropy kind in many bars which is overly sweet) . But don't stop there. How about the Espresso Martinis or their Porn Star martini? The location is gorgeous and classy, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Quick, friendly, efficient. and best of all, my dear audience, it is not expensive. I have had really bad food at twice the price. This is affordable to every wallet size and a great place to hang out or a great place for a special celebration.

Our No.1 Favourite Place To Eat!

Burzza was top of our list for places to go the minute restrictions permitted us to travel outside our County. We always drive from Cahir especially, for their delicious food & the takeaway did not disappoint! We hadn't been there since December lockdown & are thrilled that their service & food is consistently good! Lovely fresh basic ingredients used & the best woodfired pizza ever. There are very few restaurants I'll eat in due to the amount of salt & oil used but never have to worry about feeling ill after Burzza. My wife loves their burgers & thinks the strawberry milkshakes are the best ever. We just can't wait until we can eat inside in our favourite restaurant again but until then we'll happily keep driving down for takeaway!

Awful..... I have eaten food in Burzza before while sitting down inside and have left very good reviews but this was a crappy experience. Pizza was extremely dough-y and a lil under cooked, I ordered a portion of chorizo fries along with a burger meal and without asking they just assumed I wanted the fries that came with the burger upgraded :/ no forks giving out with the food either so how are loaded chips supposed to be eaten? Not everyone who orders take outs is taking them home to eat. Also wrapping a burger in that foil stuff just sweats the burger bun and makes the bun so soggy it just ruined the whole thing. As I said we've eaten inside Burzza before and have always been happy so unless there's been a change of owner or someone new in charge of take outs the quality has dipped massively. Won't be returning for more

Poor Delivery Service

Just after Christmas myself and my boyfriend used the burzza delivery service, we ordered our food at 7pm and the money was taken. We waited 3 hours for our food and rang 4 times to see when it would be ready as it said 45-60 mins. Eventually we got a call from the chef just after 10 and said there was no order yet we were told several times that it was on the way. After making a complaint we receive and excellent response from the owner but after replying we receive no follow up email from him which was quite disappointing. This was disappointing overall as burzza is myself and my boyfriend’s favourite place to eat in town and we’re upset at the fact we got no food and had to wait 2 weeks to get a refund on the order ( I know this is not burzza’s fault) but we just felt hard done by getting no food after several phone calls and be out of pocket for it (40 euro) and having to wait a couple of weeks and several phone calls to actually get my money back.

Visited burzza today and when we arrived we waited 40 minutes for food to come out when it did it was cold we had to send some back. We overheard staff talking and heard that out food was waiting 10 minutes in a lift before it was served to us, when chips came back out its like they were put back into the fryer to be heated. The mozzarella ball was like it came from the fridge it was that cold. Chicken wings were crispy but very cold. Very disappointed that we had to hear the delay from the lift was shouted across the restaurant when the manager was giving out to one of the girls for the delay. The dirty fried were cold too, the lads didnt say anything but it was cold. Couple next to us got their food within 10 and it was piping hot, we seen the steam coming from it. Just disappointed in terms that the restaurant wouldnt have been at full Capacity and we had these issues, after it was recommended to us

25 minutes for cold bruscheta

we've been waiting for 25 minutes for a bruscheta starter that arrived cold and unseasoned. The Margherita pizza "with a twist" was quite literally a pizza margherita and nothing else. My friend got a Heineken. It arrived 15 minutes later. Come on guys, you can do better than this.

There was an anti-mask/vaxx rally in our city on saturday. We are following government guidelines, we refused entry inside restaurant to people who attended rally as they refused to wear masks. Within 24 hours, we received 4 very negative reviews. We hope that the public will see these reviews for what they are. We were attacked by them on social media also. We are an independent, family run restaurant, trying to safeguard our health, jobs and future. Also, we have been severely disrupted in business and are really struggling, mentally, physically and financially. Blame the government, the Health board, your local politicians if you want - but don't take your anger out on individual, privately owned businesses who have lots of bills to pay. Do you want to see 20 of our staff out of work? If you DO have any decency/morals, you will hopefully consider removing your reviews.

Not great compared to previous visits

Had been to Burzza in the past & it was very enjoyable experience with lovely food. Hopefully the latest visit was a one off but good was below average. Chicken in burger was really over cooked on outside & overall burger was tasteless. While staff were friendly there seemed to be a lack of training throughout with waitressing basics. Took 20 mins. For wine to arrive at table & then had to keep calling staff to get attention for the basics. As I said hopefully this was just down to one bad night & isn't the way thing are going

Visited burzza last night and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement the place looks fab and has a nice vibe until we came to order. We were first served warm water 🤣 nothin major there. Then on to the food garlic bread was good calamari overcooked and barely any sauce on it jus loads of greenery🤣we ordered a garlic sauce and when it finally arrived it was horrible also. Then onto the mains two pizzas both prob underdone a little but not to bad on first sight until you picked it up and took a bite and then it all went wrong I ended up with a gloupy oily salty mess with no pizza sauce on it at all also it took 3 attempts to get a portion of fries that arrived when we were nearly ready to leave, all in all a bad experience. We will try again sometime as I've had good experiences here before too and hopefully it's jus a bad day at the office for all involved.

Needs to learn Covid regulations

We booked a table for three people to celebrate my 12 year old cousins birthday. Mine and my older cousins Covid Certs were checked on the door and we were seated, the owner then sent a waitress over to check if my younger cousin had ID to prove she didn’t need to be vaccinated. What 12 year old would carry ID? We were then asked to wait outside until we had proof of her age. Under 18s do not need to provide a vaccine cert to eat in restaurants. There is no mistaking a 12 year old to be over 18. Absolutely ridiculous and won’t be returning.

Fantastic food, BEWARE only for FAST Eaters

Outstanding food. Chicken wings were possibly the best we ever had, the pasta dishes were delicious. The service was great too. We were looking forward to dessert and went to order 1 hour and 25 mins into our meal. The waitress told us that we had to vacate the table in 5 mins, but could still take our dessert order and delay the next reservation by a few minutes. We felt we would be too rushed and declined and asked for the bill. The waitress asked us if we were sure and offered to put the order through anyway. We declined. The wonderful meal and the whole experience were spoiled by the pressure we were under. In hindsight had we realised they have an hour and 45 mins policy we would have pushed back. We were being turfed out in less than an hour and a half. This is compete and utter greed on behalf of the restaurant. Beware, you might not have enough time to enjoy your meal as they will push you out ASAP to get their next table. We went to Emilianos the next night and were actually able to have dessert and overall the experience was far better. TIP: Don't be so greedy and allow your customers the time they deserve to enioy their meal. I see my review is among many others complaining about the same thing.

Not enough choice

I'll start by saying that I've been eating at Burzza for years. I love the staff and used to like the menu. I used to love the bubbling chilli pot and a few other items that have since been discontinued. The dessert menu is so limited for non chocolate/Nutella likers - I'd love to see a lemon/citrus tart e.g. The prawn starter is delicious (but to say it's served with crusty bread is a falsehood, it comes with slivers of toast) but would be a great main with spaghetti. I'd love to see a classic versatile Italian pasta dish such as Arrabbiata (add chicken/prawn if desired at a cost). I visited Burzza recently and on this occasion I didn't enjoy it,

Usually go here for dinners etc but on this particular day we had dinner booked at 5 and we were 15mins late due to traffic. Before even greeted by staff we were told we would have to be finished by 7 and when we asked to see the dessert menu we were told we probably wouldn't have time for dessert. The food was great but the attitude of this particular female waitress put a damper on the whole experience as we felt so rushed. Didn't get a name but seemed to be the one giving directions to other staff members who by the way were all so friendly and welcoming. We actually had plenty of time for each course afterall so the comments that were made were uneccesary afterall. Will definitely rethink making this a regular spot

We were a bit rushed.

We went here s a family group of 10. Restaurant was quite busy and we were given the table for two hours. Orders were taken pretty promptly, but the four people in our party who ordered gf pizza were given 'ordinary' pizza. These were replaced quite promptly. The pizzas were excellent, but the next delay came when we ordered desert. For some reason the desert had to be prepared in the Bodega next door. It was worth the wait, the deserts were wonderful. By the time the deserts arrived we hade reached our two hour deadline, and at least one member of staff became impatient with us. We pointed out that any delays were due to serving delays and we would finish and leave as soon as possible. In the event we held the table for an extra 15 minutes. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was good, but the service was sadly lacking. The food was good enough for us to return, but maybe we won't order pizza next time.

Dirt bird burger,, best EVER

Got a take away last Friday, ordered the ‘dirt bird’ burger ( comes with the most amazing homemade chips) and I have to say it was the best burger I ever ate,,, in my previous life I qualified as a chef, have worked with Michelin star chefs, fed celebrities and even worked on the government jet!! So feel qualified to write review,, it is quite fabulous,, from start to finish,, it was succulent, flavourful, fresh, every component is spot on,, the buttermilk coating is crispy, the slaw crunchy, the bun soft and delicious. I’ll be dreaming of this until my next visit. Keep up the great work Burzza,, you deserve to be very busy,, you rock.
