We visited this establishment for lunch when on Waterford and were very disappointed overall. We come to this establishment when in Waterford for the quality of service and food we received. However, today we were given a dirty table, dirty cutlery and our food was...cold. It appeared the food was precooked and being heated and definitely not cooked fresh to order. I understand it's busy for lunch but if the food requires to be hot and fresh. We had to request clean cutlery and for our table to be cleaned. We ordered minerals which were flat and tasteless. They tasted watered down. My guess is when the ice was added water from the ice bucket was poured into the glass. Furthermore when I checked the receipt later in the day we were overcharged. We will not be returning.More

The gingerman is a lovely cosy old fashioned pub. We stopped here for a spot of lunch and were given a very warm welcome. A lovely menu with plenty of options. My daughter chose the Cajun chicken panini, which she thought was delicious. I chose...the BLT sandwich, which was a bad choice. I couldn’t eat it. Fatty streaky bacon was used, so it was a soggy mess! Crispy back bacon would have made all the difference. We will definitely visit again though.More

There are too many pubs in town that serve your standard Fish and chips. The Gingerman gives you traditional irish stews and soups as well as a pint of the black stuff. Polite staff will serve you quickly before letting you relax and watch the...rugby in peace. It down a quiet land off the madness of the high streetMore

Stumbled upon the Gingerman on St. Patrick's Day for a bite to eat after the parade. While we waited in a queue for a table, it wasn't long before we were seated. The place was very busy and the staff continued a high level of...service, all working well with each other, was lovely to see. Food was good the Guinness was really good. The Gingerman was a great little find!More

We found the Gingerman pub in a hidden corner in the square while we looked for somewhere to eat. And we are so happy we did. The food was absolutely amazing. You could tell that everything was homemade and used the best quality ingredients. The...atmosphere was great and the pub itself was busy which added to the ambience. I would highly recommend eating here.More

We visited the gingerman on a recent trip to Waterford. We were extremely impressed with our visit to this pub. It was extremely busy which showed us it was a popular spot. We didn't get a table straight away but the very friendly and professional...staff ensured we were well looked after while we waited for our table by getting us drinks and taking our orders in advance. When we did get seated the staff continued with their high level of customer service ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and very tasty and the pint of Guinness was very good here as well. The general atmosphere and piped in music also made this pub a lovely relaxing place to get an afternoon bite to eat and a pint. You also got the feeling that the staff all liked working here and worked well together which also contributed to the good atmosphere. We will definitely be back if we are in Waterford again.More
