The best Indian food we have ever eaten.

We are from the U.S and have travelled extensively and this was definitely the best Indian food we have ever eaten! The service was very attentive. The atmosphere cozy and pleasantly warm. The menu is quite diverse and offered quite a number of traditional dishes from Indian and Bangladesh that were very favorable without being heavy or overly creamy as is typical of Indian food catering to Americans. We had the chicken Bhuna and a vegetarian selection of a fabulous lentil dish (Dansag) The portions were generous and the prices reasonable. The location was excellent and easy to find on the major street overly the river in Waterford. My only regret is that we could not convince the chef to move his restaurant to the U.S. We would definitely be regulars.

A large group taken no fuss

We arrived as a group of eight on a Saturday night with no booking (most places would turn a group away) the restaurant made room for us shifted around the dining area so we could all sit together which was amazing service. They arrived with menus and made us feel welcome, we all ordered a starter and main but before the food arrived we were treated to complimentary poppadom and dips (we had tried to order this but the waiter said don't worry we will provide for you) the food was delicious we all had a wide range of curries and sides but the food came out quick and efficient the flavours were incredible and the staff were so attentive to us. A perfect visit and a place I would happily return to! They advise they just opened recently so I know based on our service they will be there for years to come!

Me and my friends went to Red chilli on last Sunday, Firstly what impressed us was nicely welcomed by the Staff. The Food was fab, best food ever we had, the atmosphere is really nice and cosy. We had a meaty Mix platter and veggie Mix platter as our Starter which were really delicious and nice portion and our mains were Atlantic Salmon, Chicken Joypuri, Lamb Cholay and Butter Chicken which were so flavour some tasteful. Highly Recommend the place and wish best of luck to Red Chilli.

Disappointing meal

We ordered a takeaway from red chilli this evening and unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered chicken masala and bhuna. The masala was almost sickly sweet and and had somewhat dry chicken floating in far too much sauce. The bhuna was reasonable but underwhelming. Unfortunately we won't be ordering again. However the delivery time was excellent.

The food at Red Chilli didn't quite meet our expectations for authentic Indian cuisine. We found the flavors lacking, and even the parathas seemed more akin to 'ready-to-cook' rather than freshly made. Regrettably, we won't be returning, as there are better Indian restaurants nearby that offer a more satisfying dining experience.

Very Average Food.

Very average Indian food. There are better Indian restaurants in Waterford City. Service was patchy to start with. Our food was diverted to a nearby table to be photographed for a photoshoot ! Bill shows that 20% VAT is being charged. VAT should be 13.5%. Waiter wouldn't explain and fobbed me off. Our mains, (lamb passanda and chicken tikka masala) were sickly sweet. Beer was room temp. The naan and popodums were good, but dips were watery and bland. Altogether a bit of a disappointment

A nice place for casual dining

A nice eatery in the centre of Waterford city, nice food and. attentive staff made this a very nice dining experience. Plenty of variety on the menu and the food that was presented was as described and portion sizes were just right.

Incredibly superb

On holiday from Australia and dining with my Irish cousins this was the perfect spot: Smiling welcome and service, superbly delicious starters and the best Rogan Josh I've eaten in the world. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our gastronomic delights. It is indeed "a culinary oasis" and I'd very highly recommend not missing out on planning a visit to Red Chilli.

A Small but Best Gem in Waterford

I have visited Red Chilli indian Restaurant with my Family as of late, The atmosphere is amazing, Food was flavoursome couldn’t fault anything at all. Top notch food and Service. Will come back again and Highly recommended for indian food Lovers.

One of the best, if not the best Indian restaurant in Waterford. Food quality is great, very authentic to Indian cooking. We ordered chicken tandoori and chicken biryani. Staff were very courteous and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend the food here.

Amazing food, great staff. 10/10

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Was given a lovely seat with a view of the quay. Lovely starters, I got chicken pekura & my partner got onion bhaji, service was quick and was full of flavour. For mains we got the butter chicken & nutty chicken. Served beautifully and tasted incredible. Complementary drinks, staff was lovely and very considerate. Reasonable prices too! Highly recommend, I would 100% come back.
