Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited this shop in September and bought 2 cherry loaves and 3 fruit loaves . The cherry loaves were excellent as usual but all the fruit loaves broke in to crumbs when cut … Feedback for the owner David to mention to his chef...perhaps … at euro 6 each E18 waisted !!!More

We would drive from Waterford to the food hall 3 or 4 times during the year. Great meet of all kinds . Very helpful butchers who will stop at nothing to help. Steaks roasts pork and lamb to die for . Poultry and excellent ready...meals. I’m hooked on the fish and shepherds pie as are my family. Top class ingredients and plenty of it. Deserts also well catered for unfortunately for me. I can’t stop eating them. I can’t recommend the food hall enough . See ye soon folks. John Waterford.More

Just had the most delicious rhubarb tart from food hall. Rhubarb was so fresh and flavoursome. One of the nicest tarts that I ever tasted

happened upon this little place on a recent walk around the city of Waterford and what a lucky find. Had a gorgeous bowl of home-made soup and a veg tart with home-made potato salad and coleslaw which were delicious. My friends fared well also with...a huge pizza style baguette with chicken and a mountain of cheese which was too much for one person! The bill for these and a 3rd friend having a salad plate was so reasonable we were sure there was a mistake -compared to prices in Dublin this lovely lunch was an absolute bargain. Nothing was too much trouble for the guy behind the counter-we were looking to sit outside as it was a glorious sunny day so he said he'd bring a table and chairs out for us as the ones out there were occupied. an absolutely lovely lunch and the customer service is second to none.More

If it’s a quick sandwich or wrap for takeaway or sit in, dinner or soup Dave has all the bases covered. One of my favourite items is the hearty chicken and ham pie! A must have, and the homemade scones are to die for, get...them early morning to beat the rush. A friendly and local feel, always worth a visit.More

Of late, too many good food shops are being lost to supermarkets etc. so it is very pleasing to see that some retail deli and fresh food establishments are not only surviving but thriving. This is one such case. The deli produce is always fresh...and the home made cakes and buns not only top quality but reasonably priced as well. Efficient and friendly counter service beats check-out routine every time. Hard to fault.More

Dave and staff never fall short of the mark whether it's for a sausage roll, a plated up dinner or the famous cherry cake. Home baked cakes, scones and bread too as well as a wide range of salads from traditional coleslaw and egg salad...to contemporary tabouleh and couscous. You could eat there every day for a month or more and not have the same thing twice.More

We found this little deli in a tourist shopping area, so thought the food would be ok. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the food was excellent! I tried the lasagna which was extremely tasty and very light. My husband tried the curry and...said it was excellent. The portions are large and you'll walk away feeling satisfied. We paid €14 for two meals and a hot tea with cream. Not only is this a deli, but a bakery as well. There is seating both inside and out, although both are limited. The proprietor was very pleasant.More

I have visited this business a few times on my travels to waterford and am always impressed with the food ! I particularly liked the Shepards pies and scotch eggs which are prepared daily to a high standard. The owner/manager is a very personable chap...always up for a bit of a chat and full of suggestions about where to visit in the local area. It's always a pleasure to visit the fresh food hall! Well worth the visit Keep up the good work .More

We stumbled upon this restaurant while we were walking around and just loved it. We were treated like family. There was a large selection of food on display, and the person waiting on us spooned our selections onto a plate, each time asking if it...was enough! Everything we tried was delicious. We even took some desserts to go, including an apple raisin cake we noshed on for the rest of the week. The owner (?) was very personable, and interested in talking with us. He gave us some suggestions for places and sites to see, and when we left his deli, we changed our itinerary to incorporate his suggestions. We did not regret it. Highly recommend this deli.More
