The Harp Tavern is located on the banks of the old quay in Sligo overlooking the mouth of the Garavogue River. A Traditional Irish Pub with a lovely wood burning stove. Try our traditional homemade soup and sandwiches served daily from 12pm along witha full food and pizza menu. Cocktails served here also. All Major Sporting events are shown on the big screen. We also cater for large parties big and small. Amenities include: Outdoor smoking area, Free Wifi and parking available including coach parking.

I have had the pleasure of visiting The Harp Tavern numerous times for various family occasions, communion parties/ birthday parties/ engagement parties and each visit has been nothing short of amazing. Ann, the manager, is incredibly friendly and always goes above and beyond to ensure we have a memorable experience.
We have hosted several parties here, and the team has always been so helpful with decorations and setting up. They make the entire process stress-free and enjoyable, allowing us to focus on celebrating with our loved ones.
In addition to special occasions, The Harp Tavern is our top choice for regular lunches and dinners. The food is of exceptional quality, consistently delicious, and the drinks are always well-prepared. The service is efficient, with the staff being attentive and courteous throughout our visit.
Considering the high level of service and the quality of food and drinks, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend The Harp Tavern for any occasion – whether it's a family gathering, a party, or just a nice meal out. Thank you, Ann and the team, for always making our visits special!

We cannot praise Ann and her team highly enough.
I organised a hen party for 15 people and The Harp Tavern was the perfect location for our meal, with a lovely set menu, a private room and the most welcoming staff!
Everybody was raving about the quality of the food, and we were made to feel so special for the bride’s big day!
Communication with Ann in the lead up was always a pleasure, she really goes out of her way to help and it was a pleasure to work with her!
I would highly recommend The Harp Tavern for any events you may have!

From the minute we walked in we felt very welcome, lovely setting, staff and food. My son ordered his dessert first (anything to keep him quiet), he ate most of my chowder which was delicious and warming. Thank you so much for your lovely welcome and hospitality xxx

Me and my boyfriend were here for dinner this evening and the place was quiet busy but we got a table as soon as we came in luckily. The food came and it was lovely, however we were left waiting with empty plates in front of us with members of staff constantly walking by us and not picking up our plates and asking for a dessert menu. We were waiting for approximately 20 mins before someone came over to us took our plates and then proceeded to say “ you don’t want dessert menus do you? “ we felt this was quite a rude comment to make and the member of staff was not very friendly. We then we’re left waiting again until another member of staff came and took our dessert order. At this point the place was a lot quieter so the staff should’ve been more observant of the customers
Overall the food was lovely but the staff on the other hand less than satisfactory

Best Service We Got Whilst Away
Harp Tavern Has to be The Best In The West
After spending several days in a wet Bundoran ,we went up to Sligo for the day to see several sites ie Lissadeel House Holy wells , thankfully we had booked a table for 4 at this establishment, we were greeted and seated very efficiently by a lovely girl called Ann . We explained to her The grandsons aged 16 and 13 and a wee grand daughter at 4 who is a character, they are normally hard to please food ways , we were delighted with the choice on the menu which Ann went through with great laughs , two servings of fish and chips , two bangers and mash ,and the traditional House Burger , service was impeccable and efficient, food was to die for and young Martin actually licked the plate of bangers and mash along with Khloe the granddaughter, I was slightly embarrassed when I said give thanks to the barman for that pint of Guinness , unbelievable it was , Ann said excuse me sir but I pulled that pint , we started laughing and asked prove it ,Ann pulled another pint of Guinness to perfection , service with a flirting laugh and smile . Food to die for , more than enough , Definitely anybody travelling through give the. Harp a visit , 5***** service from the manageress Ann
Kid-friendliness: Ann the manageress sat down with the granddaughter and showed so much paitence whilst the wee one changed her mind at least twice .

Honestly this food was amazing! We’ve been touring Ireland for about 2 weeks and we’ve eaten out a ton. This was our favorite place by far! The atmosphere was amazing and the help was wonderful, very kind and respectful and very helpful while figuring out what to order!! 100% will eat here again!

This bar in the heart of Sligo has everything I could want for a great night out. The place was clean, warm and from the minute we went in the door the staff welcomed us and had drinks and menus to us.
A great menu choice which was served quickly and great value for money
( the ladies room was immaculate and disabled facility available)
I have no hesitation recommending The Harp Tavern and I'll definitely be back.

This bar/restaurant in the heart of Sligo had everything I needed for an enjoyable enjoyable evening.
Clean, warm and comfortable with friendly attentive staff.
Wide variety on menu with starters, mains, desserts and pizzas on offer at a great price.
The extensive new burger menu is amazing with a huge selection of burgers on offer.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Harp Tavern for great casual dining I'm Sligo.

I was served very quickly , and by a very pleasant lady. My sister had a BLT & I decided to go by the recommendation by the waitress for lunch special, Cajun chicken sandwich with fries.
Absolutely delicious , only a little spicy. Also tried on tap , a Rocksure Lager, also it was perfect to go with the lunch.

This is a real Irish pub with absolutely delicious food- husband got the burger and y son got the fish and chips- both outstanding, but obviously traditional pub food. I got lasagna and my daughter got baked salmon- both of which were truly above par. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed with our latest 2 visits to the Harp Tavern. Big birthday party on one evening and staff were extremely busy. Wasn’t impressed with the quality of the food. We gave them the benefit of the doubt as our first visit was so good and went again this weekend. No party on, not overly busy. Service was awful, slow and lack interest from staff.. plenty of staff on but seemed to disappear into the front bar area for long periods of time. Food was very mediocre, wanted dessert & staff saw that we were finished but didn’t bother to come back to the table, had to call them to place dessert order & clear the table. won’t be going back.. shame.

Visited Sligo with my Family for the first time and came to the Harp for Lunch, it was amazing. We didn't have a booking but the blonde lady was very good to take us, because there were 5 of us. I can't remember the last time I got such good food and it was so hot as well, which is rare to find these days. I ordered the turkey and Ham, and the rest of my family had the Beef Specials and Lasagnas. Portion sizes are generous and perfect. The staff are very nice and attentive. Also came for dinner, it was just as good. Lovely atmosphere. Perfect place for a bite to eat and a pint. 🙈

I've been here twice. I found the food to be lovely and generous in portions and the service to be friendly and efficient.
I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone for a pleasant mid price-range dining experience.

We were never in the Harp Tavern after living in Sligo for years! We decided to pop in and have lunch/dinner. The place is very cosy. The staff were pleasant and attentive. They have a good selection on their menu, whether it's lunch, dinners or pizzas and sides. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. Great food for the price they charge. Will definitely be back.
