The soup was really nice and unusual, but they hiked the price and it is now unaffordable, went next door to Fiddlers where the soup is at a reasonable price . The place is always clean and bright

At one point this was my families favourite place to eat. Friendly staff, great food. Until the day the owner decided to yell at staff members on the dinning room floor, very loudly aggressively in front of customers not caring at all. He had one...staff member quit his job. Another was yelled at until she walked away crying. When I asked her if she was OK, she couldn't answer. When I asked a nother staff member why was they allowing him to act this way in front of customers. He wouldn't answer. Afraid to talk. Me and my family won't be going back. No child or anyone should of had to hear that. There is a time and a place for that and it's not on the floor.More
Visited the restaurant after passing it a million times and myself and partner thought on this occasion on a Sunday we would try it out. We got seated an, had a look and choose our food. As she was vegetarian she decided to go for...the avocado salad even tho it was almost €16 and to our surprise didn't come with any chips or garlic bread as these were extra so we didnt get them. I got the pasta, again it was almost €19 for pasta, carbonara and pancetta so again it was expensive. We ordered a beer and black coffee to go with our meal. My pasta was ok, very heavy on cheese but that may have been my fault as i had thought it might have been like that. My partners however, the salad, very disappointing. Very little feta and very salty olives (Almost like they were in a glass jar) which she didn't eat as they were way to salty. Overall for almost €16 is was overpriced. The whole meal which consisted of salad, pasta, 1 beer and 1 coffee was €44 which is the grand scheme of things was overpriced. The same salad in another close by location in Sligo that included garlic bread was €7.95 for the same portion so thats a big difference. It will be a while before i would go back simply because of the price and I find that you can get better food and pricing in other locations in Sligo. Last point: Not one staff member came near us when we were eating to ask us anything about the food, the same happened when we paid, the gentlemen at the till didnt ask anything he just took our money and that was that.More
We visited this place for dinner and it didn't disappoint. 2 adults 3 teens and a young child. Everyone was catered for with their extensive menu covering all the bases. My wife had the lasagne and I had the blue cheese burger and the rest...of the crew had pizza. Lasagne was delicious and the blue cheese burger was amazing. One of the teens celebrated her birthday and the staff did their best with a happy birthday candle.in the dessert and gathered to sing happy birthday.lovely touch. Toilets were spotless and service was excellent. One fault I had was they kept clearing any odd plate or bottle that was on table during meal which just rushes the experience a little. Other than that it was a 10/10 experience. Good food. Great staff and great location by the waterside. Well done to allMore
While we thoroughly enjoyed our food at Rugatino's I felt it was extremely expensive and feel this will definitely stop me from booking this restaurant again. €6 for a portion of chips & overpriced wine unfortunately makes it an expensive dining experience.
We did not book and where very lucky to get a table. Very friendly staff and excellent very tasty pizza’s. Well recommended!
We booked a table for three here on Saturday evening (22nd July). I was with my wife and young daughter and we had a truly enjoyable experience. We were in Italy for our honeymoon - Sorrento and Rome - and we honestly thought we were...back there! The food was outstanding and I cannot overstate how friendly and efficient the staff were. I would say that if you dropped a fork, one of them would have caught it before it hit the ground! Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enoughMore
A lively and genuine Italian restaurant right in the heart of Sligo. We both greatly enjoyed our meals which were very freshly cooked and tasted superb. Great service and a visit that overall made us feel we were back in Italy.
Overall a disappointing experience. We were seated near two separate noisy bunches of girls (Yes I agree guys can be loud too, but not on this occasion). Staff did nothing to quell the noise. Service otherwise was prompt, polite and helpful. My wife’s Pasta A...La Norma was not good. The aubergine was almost absent. Courgettes had been used for some reason. What was worse was the large heart-attack blob of Mozzarella. This classic dish does not call for either courgettes or mozzarella. The only cheese should be Ricotta or Pecorino grated. Worse still, their Carbonara was Irish style and contained cream. Real Italian Carbonara does not. My chicken was alright, but my roast potatoes were very salty. Who asked you to put salt on my meal? I’ll do that myself, if I wish, or am allowed medically. There are better places to eat in Sligo.More
Fabulous Italian restaurant in the center of Sligo town. Wonderful food. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Very clean.
We stopped here as it was on a short list of places recommended by our B&B host. The restaurant owner waited on us (very busy - but we were seated almost immediately). I planned to order Spaghetti alla Carbonara, but he sold me on Nonna’s...Spaghetti con Polpette. I love this man for making this suggestion!! It was wonderful! I don't recall now what my wife had, but she was very happy too. It may sound crazy, but next time through Sligo we plan to go directly here. The walk along the river and across the Bridge of Light was great too, so well worth the visit downtown.More
We were too late for Hargadon’s food but we were able to get in here for a quick pizza and fries. The food was standard, decent fare so no real opportunity to test the menu.
Very good food, nice selection of dishes, wines, friendly service. Fully recommend once you are in Sligo. You will not be disappointed.
Came in for just a coffee but decided to have a salad and had a good look at the menu. The salad was made with great eye for detail and taste like what you may expect from an Italian Chef. Loved it and will definitely...recommend this Restaurant. Great atmosphere and service.More
Very unusual experience had by all for a staff get together. We were sat, and when ready to order our food a friend had tried to order a vegetarian pizza with no mushrooms. She was simply told "no". Perplexed by the lack or explanation, my...friend clarified with the waitress what she meant by "no", to which she explained it was "too busy to take mushrooms off". With little other option for a veggie pizza my friend stated she would take them off herself then. Moving down the line, a second friend and a regular customer of Rugantino asked for a margarita pizza and sweetcorn. Again, "No". No real explanation, we had to launch an investigation as to why. She stated it was too busy to add sweetcorn. My friend struggled through her meal to get mushrooms off. It was like they were sewn into the dough so I guess other than not adding toppings to fresh pizza and instead taking something out of a freezer that must be why you can't make changes. Eventuallt the waitress returned and stood silently at the foot of our table until we looked up. She left a receipt on the table and asked us to leave! Our group at least left laughing. Such a strange set up, very unwelcoming and I will never ever return.More
