An excellent welcome on a wet Saturday evening, we didn’t have a booking but we were invited in and allocated a table promptly. The food and service was excellent as was the house wine. Highly recommend when in Sligo. The restaurant has moved into larger...premises due to the Covid restrictions however we felt the experience was still excellent.More

Dinner here, first time and I had to say it was fabulous. Had the pasta Alfredo and it was delicious, full of flavour. Pizzas were excellent also. Great to be able to get a half bottle of wine as I like white and my sister...is a red fan. Service was excellent and over all its a buzzing place, great atmosphere! Will be back for sure!More

I’m very disappointed with rugatino. This was my go to restaurant in Sligo. We had the Napoli pizza and calzone. Both lacked vitality as the pizza was dry and the calzone was nuked. The host was rude and aragante.

Last minute booking and how glad we’re we to do so. Authentic, welcoming and a very diverse menu. The quality of food was outstanding - in our case the veal and crackling pork. Thoroughly recommended. We will visit again when we next visit Sligo

I usually frequent this restaurant once a month. The last two visits were a disasters. On both occasions they didn't have our reservation. Tonight we arrived and were treated like we trying to pull a fast one. The head waiter was arrogant and dismissive from...the start. He held us at the door while he looked for our reservation. He walked away and returned and made us feel like he was doing us a favour by fitting us in. It was at this stage that I noticed my name on the table plan and politely poited this out He became instantly abusive and condescending. He said he was human and can make mistakes and that I shouldnt be so aggressive!!!! I asked to be seated and he became more dismissive I.told him we were leaving to which he replied good get out. I asked for the owners name and number and he said he's not here and you're not getting the number. To say that thus guy is an arrogant fool is an understatement and having looked at other reviews it's not the firstime a complaint has been made about this jumped up clown. Never again. AVOID.....More

I was there for dinner with my partner. I had a pizza Napoli, which would have been ok if the chef had not decide to completely cover it with black olives, which by the way should not be on a Napoli, where there should be...capers instead. The bottom line is that the pizza tasted of black oives and hardly anything else. My partner had a Frittura Mista that, besides being badly presented, managed to be complety tasteless, as tasteless were also the two side sauces (chilli and garlic mayonaise) provided. To complete, the prices are too high.More

We turned up last minute one early evening looking for a table and were quickly accommodated. Fast, efficient and friendly service. My husband had the Penne Alfredo which he was raving about and I had the Rigatoni Alla Norma, although very nice, was missing some...extra flavouring. The kids had ham and pineapple pizzas. Only two things negative to say - we were placed at the window which was fine but there were cleaning equipment like sweeping brushes, pans etc directly behind our chairs against the wall. It wasn't something I was happy to eat beside. Also it would be great if they extended the kids menu beyond pizzas as they have so many lovely dishes to offer. I would highly recommend this place though. They were also stringent on checking vaccinations and I.D. which made the experience feel that bit safer.More

Before the coronavirus I'd eat here often. The restaurant was 1/2 the size it is now. the staff and owner were friendly and welcoming .A month ago I had a pizza which was dry and tasteless. Recently I found the host to be rude and...arrogant. The food has become very poor.More

We always try to get in for a meal when we visit Sligo, Pizza / Pasta all great food. The service is fast and the staff are very pleasant, Only doing walk-in at present which is a pain but understandable.
