I have been there for lunch. Location is great, especially during good weather days. Table service has greatly improved. However, food is poor. I had lasagne. Leaving aside the fact that they were served with chips and a little salad (which by the way should...be dressed or at least dressing should be provided. When I asked for it, I could see from the face of the waiter that it was an unusual request), but more importantly: lasagne is not a lump of mince meat with a fragment of pasta sheet drown in it and topped with some melted cheese! Lasagne is a fine balance between mince meat, pasta sheet and white sauce (well, a proper chef should use béchamel, but that is probably too much to ask for). Add to that an espresso which had at the same time the taste of burnt coffee powder and water at the same time, served in a cup with a good bit of the coffee sitting on the saucer. I do not elaborate on the high price charged for such concoction, to avoid adding further pain. AvoidMore

Ate in Kitchen restaurant both nights and in the baron the second day of our two night stay. I’ll review the Glasshouse Hotel separately.First night Himself had Cockles and prawns for starter , followed by lamb and a Gaelic coffee. I had the nectarine salad...and steak followed by the chocolate and salted caramel E thing. Tonight he had curried carrot&parsnip soup- which i had earlier in the day with soda bread- gorgeous-followed by the lamb. I had nectarine salad- again- and chicken followed by Orange Cointreau creme. We were diligently attended by the charming and efficient Bogdan on both nights, who could not have done more to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The food truly is of an extremely high standard, both in terms of quality and presentation. We would heartily recommend eating here, both for evening and daytime dining. The staff are friendly and helpful across the board, even when under pressure. Will definitely returnMore

Had our breakfast here a large room with plenty of room for social distancing , cold buffet good choice with the covid restrictions , the Full Irish no issue.

My daughter is 16 and very fussy, also vegetarian. The waitress discussed it and suggested things to her. I've never seen her eat so much. They were wonderful. My food was also lovely. The atmosphere is great with views of the river. The staff are...so friendly. We cant wait to visit again. And it was all very reasonable. €36 for lunch and €43 for 3 course dinner.More

We booked dinner through the receptionist in the hotel. We thought the reservation was going to be for the bar but it was actually in for the restaurant (definitely double check which you are booking for) but very glad now that we dined in the...restaurant. Food was delicious and service was great - staff were friendly and attentive. Adrian (white shirt, reddish hair) was super - really enthusiastic and friendly and a very hard worker. The restaurant itself is very big and open, some relaxing music would have been a nice touch. Would definitely recommend dining here.More

Food is good. Had food here the first night of our stay and I got a chicken dish and it was lovely. Service was excellent.

Having stayed in the hotel on previous occasions we were delighted to get a table on 2 consecutive nights during our visit to Sligo town. Our fear was that they might only have capacity for guests. As always great food and wonderful staff!

We held a birthday dinner for a family member here, they have a celebration menu to choose from for such events. It was very good with enough variety to suit everyone’s tastes. Staff were very professional and friendly and the meal was excellent.

We had dinner here on one of the nights of our stay. We had a seat by the window that looks out on the river which was really nice. Food was top class and the service was pleasant and efficient

We ate here on a quiet Tuesday evening. The menu was nice and varied. I had the goats cheese to start. It was tasty but the grapefruit coulis was a little bit too overpowering. I had the lamb for mains. This was delicious... It came...with a lovely sauce and roast onion. The veg was very tasty too. My partner had the pork and chicken ballentine which was tasty but I don't know if the hoisin sauce was the right accompaniment. He then had the steak which was a bit rarer than the medium rare he had ordered but it was delicious. We opted for calypso coffee for dessert as we were too full for more food! All in all I would eat here again!More
