Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I have been to Eala Bhan three times and it is undoubtedly a Connacht gem that Sligo should be very proud of. The location, ambience and service are top class with the very stylish, cultural links to the area add to the...sense of occasion. On our most recent experience however we thought the quality of the courses had dipped just a little bit. There's a little too much reliance on little colourful dabs here and there of jus and purees which help the visuals but don't do a lot for the flavour. Also, even though my wife and I ordered very different starters and mains a lot of the aforementioned embellishments were common to both plates whereas one would have expected more differentiation. My feather blade of beef however was superb. Good solid choice of wines too. All in all, definitely worth a journey to the West.More

Fantastic restaurant. I randomly found this restaurant on instagram after searching “Sligo restaurant”. It was unreal. Great kids menu too. Lovely decor and lovely staff. I had beef strips, salmon, chocolate hazelnut tart. My son had tomato soup, burger & chips & ice cream. All...devine. Next time we visit Sligo we will definitely be back!More

We celebrated Mother's day in Eala bhán yesterday. Such a fabulous experience. The welcome is always so good and thing's just go from there. Such a lovely buzz around the place. We had a window seat. The menu was really excellent and made it hard...to choose. We had homemade tomato soup and a mushroom with feta starter and settled on the Beef and Halibut with Risotto for mains. The flavours were out of this world, as was the presentation and the service. It never fails to deliver. We finished with the Sticky toffee pudding. Outstanding as always.More

Politely complained about the price of the food and the poor quality dish and service I received. was met by pushback from management and was left feeling cheated by the reviews of this restaurant. save your money and go somewhere else in Sligo.

We had venison, fish and steak for main course - all excellent, so tasty, cooked as ordered, and attractively presented. Starters, desserts and coffee were all top notch. The service was prompt, pleasant and not intrusive. Get a table in the window if you can...for the lovely view of the Garravogue River.More

A lovely meal which was great quality and in a lovely setting. Staff were very attentive and efficient. The menu had a good range and the wine list was excellent. This restaurant is pricey but very good quality and definitely worth the cost.

Firstly the service is just top class, secondly the food is amazing and thirdly so glad we didn’t order a starter - we had complimentary homemade bread and pesto followed by the most tasty delicious leek and potato soup (little cup compliments of the chef)....Just a really nice and most enjoyable dining experience.More

We enjoyed a Sunday lunch here and it was really lovely, The staff without doubt are some of the most professional iv come across and at a younger age range too its lovely to see. The only thing I didn't enjoy so much was the...side of mixed veg, it was mixed and included red cabbage which I do not like ,and flavour tends to transfer, but that's more my problem really 😅, other than that i enjoyed every bite. We will certainly be back .More

I honestly don’t know I’m afraid. I’d doubt it though, they did have an extensive wine menu.
