Food and ambience

There has been a pub on the site of Austies since the 17th century. It is a seafaring pub with plenty of memorabilia and maritime features. Have a drink at the Captain's table or sit and look out onto Memory Harbour. It has a large outdoor beer garden with views out to the sea and across to Coney and Oyster Islands. Austies Kitchen is ideal for casual dining. In The ‘Old Bar’ your family dog will be made feel very welcome.

Was fishing for 2 days in Sligo and my pal and I called into Austies both days just for a beer on Sat. and Sunday 28th, 29th August. Very friendly people and also a bit of a laugh too. Seriously, 2 of us agreed that...Austies does the best pint Guiness either of us had possibly ever tasted. Lovely spot Austies.More

Absolutely delicious. Tried to eat after 8 on Friday evening but it was finished serving. Can’t book a table so we came back the following evening at 6pm - thought I’d it’s so popular it must be good, right? And Austin’s didn’t disappoint-our food was...delicious. Calamari to start - fresh and tasty, a perfect to tempt the tastebuds. Then we had fish, scampi, burger and even pizza. All four of us were happy! No dessert this time but the cappuccino to finish was nice.More

Very good and friendly service. Decent portion sizes but desserts could be bigger. Scampi was nice but fish & chips was the winner

We were staying close to Austies and we ended up calling here both nights of our stay. The service, food and location were top notch. They didn’t take bookings but we weren’t waiting long for a table, the staff we dealt with were a1 and...we were never left waiting for anything. The food both nights was sublime- burgers, pizza, fish and chips - delicious. If you are staying in the area definitely give it a visit! 😊More

Stopped here for an evening drink as they aren’t doing food until July. The tables were clean and spaced out and staff were friendly. Lovely sea views!

I don't think so to be honest but I think the menu changes. We were there last week and had scampi & chicken wings and lovely wine!
