I popped into hargadons for something to eat after shopping. I ordered their seafood chowder. Which was lovely full of salmon and other fish. The place was olde worlde lovely and cosy dimly lit. You rarely come across places like this. Staff were friendly. Place had a very relaxing feel about it. 😃

I have been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed! Had a salad. A simple salad! Yet it was full of flavours! I wanted to lick the plate even! Yet I couldn't because for some reason that kind of behaviour is looked down upon? But anyways the service was very friendly and cheerful, except for one girl... More

Went here because it had very good ratings, but I have no idea why. Service was terrible, we had to clear our own dishes away from the table after our first course as got fed up at looking at empty bowls for 30minutes. It took 45minutes for our main course to then come. Food was ok, nothing special. Wouldn't recommend... More

We were in town doing our Christmas shopping and stoped in for something to eat. We found the food very good, (chicken salad and wings) lots on the plate. The services was quick, polite and friendly and although they were busy it was still prompt and to a high standard. We were also treated to a wonder music session with... More

First visit to this old style pub, for a light lunch. Very busy place, which is always a good indicator of good food and service. Very tasty vegetable soup served by a vey pleasant waitress.

This isn't the first time I've stop in Hargadons for lunch and it again won't be the last. The atmosphere in this wee traditional pub is one of the best I've ever experienced, it's warm, well decorated and the staff are extremely friendly. The food is always top notch and the Guinness is some of the best around. If you... More

In Sligo on the morning after the night before. Had lunch here. Staff are busy and friendly. We had the smoked salmon & quiche. Big portions & well presented. This pub is a gem with it nooks and crannies. The long hall way with all seating alcoves to the right feel like the old style trains. Well run & well... More

If you want to find a "special" pub untainted by modernization where conversation can flow easily and the Guinness is great then Hargadons in O Connell st Sligo is IT . The numerous little snugs and hidden rooms add enormously to the ambience and atmosphere . Food is also very good here if ypu need some "soakage " for your... More
