This place is really cool atmosphere to eat. It is not fine dinning , but has a lot of interesting choices. Has a gluten free menu as well. Location is on the river walk.
Great location and fabulous food. The prawn starter was one of the best I’ve ever had - it was so delicious. The main chicken was extremely tasty and there was plenty of it. Great staff and service - it is a great spot for casual...dining.More
Very disappointing food. Frozen chips costing 5.95 euro per portion. This is shameful in Ireland, the home of the potato!! Limp lettuce, small portions and strange pricing structure with starters costing almost the same as the mains? Certainly not the fresh and local experience it...claims to be. Not even sure that a trained chef is doing the cooking?More
After booking the reservation midday for an evening meal at 6pm my expectation was met with disappointment
Restaurant cool and funky. Staff lovely, pleasant and professional and the food was "savage" I.e. Delicious!!! Would definitely recommended 👌
Don't go to Hooked for a steak unless you want it well done i.e. ruined! I ordered a steak sandwich and requested the steak be done med rare. The waitress said they do all the steaks the same. I thought this would mean all done...medium but no it means well done which for me is ruined. When I complained they asked if I wanted another one! What's the point of that! I continued to complain but was told that's just the way it is. I'll never go back!More
We really enjoyed the food and the location. The interior is very beautiful and cozy. We had french fries, which were delicious and not too expensive. The staff is so kind and thoughtful. You have to try the local Lough Gill beer and the garlic,...rosemary & parmesan fries.More
We took a family of 8 - from grandparents and food snob Aunt and Uncle to young children, very hungry surfing father and son, and vegetarian mother - in other words many different food preferences in our party - and we all came away beaming....The customer service was brilliant: warm, accommodating, prompt and unflappable (we are terrible at ordering and must have asked for something new about every 2 minutes). We hadn’t booked ahead and, even though they were full and very busy, kindly managed to fit us in. We were delighted because the place looked so pretty and welcoming from the outside, we had set our hearts on eating there for our special family meal. The menu was fun and varied, with something for everyone. From firm child-friendly favourites to more creative dishes with a twist or two, everything looked likely to be super tasty. It didn’t disappoint and I don’t think I’ve ever seen my family eat so much in one sitting, despite very generous portions. Every dish exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was light and welcoming; lively and full of laughter without being overly noisy (two of our party have hearing aides!) and cast a kind of golden glow over the whole evening. We rolled out, full and happy with huge smiles on our faces having had the loveliest whole-family meal out, we can remember.More
We had dinner here last Friday evening We found the staff very friendly Great choice on menu Food delicious Thanks to Danilo for looking after us so well We will be back
Quaint settings by the garavogue with massive windows with full panoramic views of the garavogue and rockwood parade. Love this place. The decor of this place just bangs of summer vibes with the cherry blossom feature in the centre of the restaurant. My wife and...I had the chicken fillet burgers, chips and salad . Il start with the salad. It was unreal . Superb tastes and freshly made. A big maith an buachail or maith an cailin whoever created that side salad! The burger.....oh my god. Unbelievable. Freshly made and just absolute perfection. Really enjoyed it. Our little man had the homemade sausages and an empty plate said it all. Staff were fantastic. Food was as the french say formidable !!! This place just smacks of summer holidays feel with family's filling the place while we ate. Highly recommend .More
The worst dining experience in Ireland so far. My giro chicken with taziki in pita was actually fried chicken tenders with mayo in a stale wheat tortilla. I couldn't eat it. Would not recommend though a family member liked the gluten free fish and chips.
We had a lovely evening here. Pleasant staff that is actually knowledgeable about the food being served, very good and fresh food. We could sit outside which made it even more pleasant. The excellent cakes are baked by one of their staff. I hope she...will be there when we return, which we will: for the cakes, the drinks, the chicken wings, the salad… etcMore
A good location by the river, stopped here part way through a cycle trip, parked the bikes outside ok. Not a big menu but very nice food, we had beef bau buns and a prawn and chorizo dish. Very prompt and efficient service.
Delicious tofu salad for me, the kids had great burgers and service was excellent. I loved the choice on the menu, great range but not too much. Everyone was happy with their order. The burgers also had a nice side salad that they enjoyed. Beautiful...view too.More
