The menu is perfect. Very tasty and well thought through. I would highly recommend this gastro pub to anyone looking for a well appointed quiet place for a good meal and a pint.

We visited William St a while ago and were very disappointed with the food. We decided to give it another try. Big mistake. I ordered chicken supreme. What I got was a chicken drumstick which was more skin n bone than meat. My husband ordered...Bbq ribs. He got plain ribs with some red congealed sauce poured on top. We definitely will not return.More

Came here with family member, shown to seat. Ordered food, drinks. 15 minutes later no drinks. Had to go up to bar and order again. Food arrived, wrong pizza ( despite asking for one with everything on it except pepperoni , and offering to pay...extra for the toppings) we received a pizza with just pepperoni. Sent back. Tiny portion of chips. lime and chilli chicken salad? The chef must be mad it's absolutely nothing of the sort and sticking a lime wedge on a plate doesn't make it one. Greasy bacon, the smallest amount of chicken you would need to see it to believe it. We counted 6 tiny bits of chicken in a bowl of salad which had a standard dressing . Zero chilli or lime apart from the wedge. Wings really nice ( one piece of celery). Asked for extra blue cheese sauce , didn't get it. Asked again. Ordered 2nd drink to finish meal, didnt get it. Eventually just decided to go to bar and pay. After being quoted an astronomical price of 53 quid asked to see receipt and noticed an extra 2 pints and also the other 2 drinks which we did not receive. Explained this but unfortunately was clearly fed up at this stage. Bill eventually rectified and we were not charged for our only drink we received by ways of compensation. Appreciated this, but paid full price for food which was simply not up to scratch. How a kitchen can get it so wrong is beyond me . We watched the waitresses put every effort into escorting new customers to seats yet they couldn't get a drink for the existing ones . Perhaps an off day, but I'm not convinced. I at least expected the food to be excellent if not the serviceMore

We had a meal here recently and enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly, the service was prompt and the food was tasty. It was also quite good value. The only negative was the limited menu options. With a few improvements in menu choice this...could become a much better place to get food.More
