We had our socially distanced Christmas dinner out in The Batch Loaf last night and the food and service was brilliant, I would have no hesitation recommending it.

We stopped off here for an impromptu pit stop on the way home from the north. The lady took our booking on the phone and we were seated quickly on arrival. The decor is amazing, quirky and full of past reminders of this place as...a bakery in a previous life. Lorraine served us and was very pleasant throughout. She’s one of those people who just excels at her job. Starter of crab meat on their speciality batch loaf doesn’t sound too exciting but it was actually divine. 10/10 as one of the nicest starters I’ve had in a long time Mains were a beautiful chicken dish with Bombay potatoes, and mine was a monkfish and prawn combo. Both were magnificent, and washed down with a couple of glasses of Zinfandel rose which was superb. Will definitely be back. Great credit to the ownership and staff here, well done 👏More

This place never disappoints! We love to get the chicken supreme with Bombay potatoes and a curry type sauce-It is super delicious and the quality never fades throughout the years no matter how many times we visit the batch loaf. We need to pick something...different the next time! All the food looks amazing and smells delicious. The restaurant is super quirky and we absolutely love it! We travel over an hour to come to it and just wish it was right beside where we live!More

Great to be back after covid lockdown. Menu and food were as brilliant as always but full credit has to go to the whole team for making new arrangements that didn't really take away any of the wonderful atmosphere this venue has. Well done

I believe there was some GF options. I didn’t pay particular attention as I don’t need to worry too much.
