This place never disappoints! We love to get the chicken supreme with Bombay potatoes and a curry type sauce-It is super delicious and the quality never fades throughout the years no matter how many times we visit the batch loaf. We need to pick something...different the next time! All the food looks amazing and smells delicious. The restaurant is super quirky and we absolutely love it! We travel over an hour to come to it and just wish it was right beside where we live!More

Great to be back after covid lockdown. Menu and food were as brilliant as always but full credit has to go to the whole team for making new arrangements that didn't really take away any of the wonderful atmosphere this venue has. Well done

After months of being locked up & quite honestly very apprehensive about venturing out we were invited to out to dine in The Batch Loaf. It was a godsend & nothing short of it. We got there a bit early & were seated in the...bar to wait on our table. It was a pleasure to do so. Perspex up everywhere. Hand sanitizer everywhere, place spotless. A very pleasant start to a great evening. We were called to our table & fabulous screens were everywhere protecting each table. Again you felt very safe & comfortably secure. The staff are absolutely brilliant, Shirley, Lorraine, Annmarie to name a few are extremely pleasant, friendly & above all efficient. Nothing is too much trouble f o r them. Because of the short amount of time allowed for dining the menu is smaller, but my God it does not disappoint. I had the Tempura cod & prawn on a beautiful salad with a honey & chilli dressing to start...Unreal !!! Then I had monkfish & prawn on a bed of rice with an amazing sauce, with a side of Bombay potatoes, again amazing. At the table (6 of us) there were a selection of starters, mains & sides ranging from potatoe wedges, chicken strips in a mild curry aioli, potted crab & the mains were salmon medallion of fillet steak, sirloin steaks, a selection of sides ( garlic potatoes, onion rings, mushroom & onion mix, sweet potato fries, & we finished with the most amazing cheese board. Great wine list & very reasonably priced. The chef's are excellent. The 2 head chef's (David & Gareth) are simply excellent. Overall experience was so great that we have been back twice more in September & intend to make it a regular thing. 11 out of 10 is how I would rate it...well done Paul Cathy & staff. You excelled once again.More

During these days of Covid-19 we had a stay-cation family holiday in Glaslough, since we were so close to Monaghan town on a walk about there we spotted the Batch Loaf. The menu read well and we booked for that evening luckily they had capacity...for us. Our arrival was well managed and we were socially distanced correctly, all precautions taken with hand sanitiser etc, staff were very friendly & professional, respectful of social distance with PPE on as required. They also have screens between some of the tables for extra reassurance, seeing the tables been cleaned and menu's sanitised relaxed us to enjoy our evening as no doubt the same happened before we arrived to that table. We had an outstanding meal, food was excellent and very good value for money, I can see why the place was as busy as it could be. We were so happy overall food, service, hygiene that we booked for another evening during our local stay. I would recommend this restaurantMore

Have been to the Batch Loaf several times, and it never fails to deliver a top class experience from start to finish. The ladies at front reception paid our parking ticket when we had no change - not a big deal to them but it's...the little things that make such a difference and meant a lot to us. Cannot speak highly enough of the food, from the starter (the beef spring rolls are exquisite) to the supreme Chicken main course (incredible) and the chocolate brownie is something special. The interior and layout of the restaurant make it a most comfortable experience and the precautions in place during a difficult time are fully adhered to. Look forward to returning to this gem.More

I believe there was some GF options. I didn’t pay particular attention as I don’t need to worry too much.
