We were possibly the first for lunch at this authentic pub with food, situated on a busy junction in lovely Westport. Recommended to try the world beating seafood chowder and it turned out to be everything that we were hoping for. The other dishes were also tasty, served rapidly and enjoyed in a quieter setting than would normally be expected in a bar.

Lovely Sunday roast dinner. Great fish and chips. When they say cheese on the pasta they mean grated Velveeta-that's for you Americans who think it's Parmesan. Friendly quick service. Brie appetizer is to die for. My son and husband loved the lobster and crab ravioli starter.

We had a very pleasant casual lunch in the West Bar last Friday. My husband loved his fish and chips and my fish pie wasn't bad either!
