We go here every time we are in Westport. Had a delicious meal on Sunday 18 July. Freshest crispy fish I have had in long time and I tasted the pork belly which was melt in your mouth. I would have went back on Monday...but it doesn’t open til WednesdayMore

Cannot believe it is 8 years since I last reviewed this place but I'm thrilled to say that it is still as great as ever! That time, I brought a vegetarian friend with me and when I told her I was returning last weekend she...commented that "hands down that is still the best vegetarian meal I've ever had to this day". The food is just outstanding - just as it always is every time I visit. Warm welcome from Colm and Dolores and despite the social distancing measures, the place felt as warm and friendly as ever. Such a stunning location as well - we caught a beautiful blood-red sunset over Clew Bay whilst there. Can't wait to go back - won't leave it as long next time!More

Disgusting. The battered fish swimming in grease. The chips swimming in a pool of grease. Worst meal by far.More

Visited Cronin's last Thursday. Had a great experience from start to finish. Great welcome, great views, great food and the most amazing pints of Guinness I've ever tasted. Can't wait to return sometime. Highly recommended.

Loved the food and the service was very good the first time. Enjoyed it so much we decided to book again. Second time the service was not good at all. The waitress took our drinks order and forgot my daughter. I was actually still eating...and was asked if I was finished. We felt very rushed.More

We were a party of 6 and had 2 servers - one was extremely attentive and the other a bit forgetful. We were given a specials board but when we went to order some of them, we were told they were just out so had...to pick again from the menu. We all had different orders and the food arrived for 5 of us but the 6th in our group was left waiting a bit. All in all, our visit was OK, not great - the portions were a bit on the small side for the prices charged.More

It is always a pleasure to come back to Westport and visit the Sheebeen. The location is magical, the place atmospheric and the service friendly and efficient. During the pandemic it was great to have a pub experience in a very safe environment.

Hands down this place was the best place we ate during our holiday. Straight into the oysters 2 types served. They were so tasty and shucked flawlessly, I really mean they were perfect. I even went back the next day after climbing Croagh Patrick to...have more at lunch, but they were closed till 5pm! I then had a mackerel and horseradish salad which was beautiful could've done with a little more of the horseradish. The kid's meals were also the best we had, they had cod goujons they were so fresh, and the batter was so light. I then had the steak and a stunning bottle of red. Steak was cooked perfectly rare. Please make a booking of passing you won't be disappointed. I will note a concern on the service as per some other reviews hence I only gave an average star for the service side. There was an older lady who was running the place. Very gruff and pointed to the customers. She was hard work to deal with and had real superior attitude towards customers. Not nice but that's the way she was.More
