My partner and I enjoyed an exceptional meal in Sage on 30th Dec. the food was prepared and presented with flair. Flavors were wonderful, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Will go back on our next visit to Westport.

Myself and my wife had dinner at Sage and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The serving staff were friendly and efficient. The food was exceptional. The scallops were a very good starter as was the salad. The mains of steak and chicken were also of the...highest quality. I would strongly recommend Sage for a night out.More

Recommended this by daughter in law who lives in Westport. Feel of a library, somehow, about it. I liked that. Had a seafood platter between the two of us. Had appetiser first. Bread lovely. Platter excellent. Both had same main course. A fine chunk of...Halibut, really white and opaque, ultimate signs of freshness, on a risotto with scallions and I forget what else, but lovely. Was greenish. Citrus almonds with slices of lobster. This was unforgettable. Veg excellent and slices of potatoes which were superb, Had NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely. Met a lady there who runs a B&B in Westport and she told us she recommends this restaurant to all her clients. They all love it.More

Recommended to us by friends who are locals, and it did not disappoint. Not large, with many locals as clientele, but with food and an experience was world class. The flavors and attention to small details makes this worth going out of one’s way to...enjoy for a special night out.More

A wonderful experience from start to finish. The wait staff were polite and professional. As for the food, it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. The scallops in a miso soup or sauce with black pudding was devine. Followed by venison...with a chocolate sauce was delicious. Loved every second. If and when I come back to Westport, the visit would be incomplete without a return to Sage.More

I had the scallops, followed by the beef cheek and finished with the chocolate tart. Husband had soup, halibut and white chocolate mousse. Every single mouthful was to die for. Our waitress was excellent, very friendly and outgoing. I mentioned in passing it was my...husbands 40th birthday so she had a happy birthday plate done for his dessert complete with candle and the entire restaurant joined in singing Happy birthday. It made his night! Fabulous restaurant, we will be back!More

We came across this restaurant by accident when we arrived in Westport. We asked if we had any chance of a table for their early bird menu and we managed to get the last table. The lady checked our Covid details and was very friendly...completing these. The choices were good on the menu so we ordered starters of mussels and ham croquettes and mains of beef cheek and pan fried chicken. There was seasonal vegetables served too. We couldn’t manage desserts but we got complimentary homemade sweets and liquor and these were perfect. The place was very busy for a Tuesday evening and we were very pleased to have got a table as many others who came to the door were disappointed.More

Amazing start to finish. The niciest tastiest meal in at least 2 yrs. Decor of meal a work of art. Staff are excellent. Really on the ball. Small place but making most of space. If you go to Westport definitely book this. We booked it...5 or 6 weeks before for a Thursday evening. Highly highly recommend. The sorbet between starter and main yum. Then petit fours and liquer at end too. Lovely touches.More
