Very noisy, woke up with walls shaking in the middle of the night as drunk people in next room. This went on for more than an hour. No security nor guarantee of a rest as reception closed. For €180 a night, this is unacceptable!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. My wife left her glasses behind and they found them and posted them on. The food was great and reasonable. They took the whole Covid precautions very seriously and I admire that. The room was fine without any...issues.More
To start we were served by a lovely friendly young lady but soon it turned quickly Into a horrible experience, we were enjoying pints when a bald man interrupted us by telling us to “f*ucking” keep it down, all of us were shocked by this...staff member giving us language of that nature, customer service at an all time low, If you want to keep customers I think swearing at them is not the way to go, will never return, go somewhere where you are appreciated and not spoken to like a dog!!!!More
was lucky to find this small hotel , nice accommodation and facilities like bar and restaurant, ease of parking behind the venue. Staff are excellent from reception, Bar, restaurant and breakfast staff.great place for an overnight or two, we stayed as we were attending a...show at the TF Royal . food is excellent and staff cant do enough for you! we'll be back.More
I ate here with my wife and 2 daughters on a sunday afternoon. the staff was helpful enough but unfortunately the food was just mediocre. We both had roast beef, which was fairly tough. there was also some balsamic on the plate for presentation purposes,...but was senseless as the beef was covered in pepper sauce. One of the girls had the chicken curry, but I think i could recognise the curry sauce (very basic in all shops) which had some flavour/spice added. All in all I was very dissapointed, and won't return unless I hear of a dramatic upturn in food quality.More
A family of 5 of us visited the Connaught Inn on a Friday lunchtime. It was quiet on arrival and remained so but the lunch menu and food was excellent. Each dish including starter and main was well prepared and very tasty. I had the...Yorkshire pudding (I’m a Yorkshire man) with camembert cheese and fish and chips as a main and it was superb, my Dad had the duck and he loved it. There was a good choice of specials available and plenty of choice for deserts. I’d not previously eaten here and thank heavens for tripadviser pointing me in this direction. The Connaught Inn is now my number one choice for lunch when I visit Castlebar!! Good work by the friendly staff!!More
Nice place for a week day lunch. Handy parking at the back where there are always space. Food was good
Very nice environment ,very fast service from polite people and terrific food.i will visit that place again because it is really worth. It is very nice also for a couple of beers or drinks. It is a place to be in castlebar.
We arrived after a long day of traveling in late afternoon. We were there to check in to the apartments that are part of the inn. The staff was friendly and so welcoming. We decided to eat an early dinner because we were ready to...get out of the car for the day. The food was a pleasant surprise. I had one of the daily specials, venison sausage and mash, but many great choices. The rest of the family ordered off the menu and we were all pleased. Not the fanciest place we ate in town, but definitely the best. Would be happy to go again.More
Ate here as part of the In Humbert's Footsteps Festival. Absolutely lovely meal. Thanks to the staff for all their help and going the extra mile.

A friend recommended this place so we went for lunch. Venison sausages were huge and tasty the hake was good as well. The staff or owners not sure which were very friendly with good service and nice and warm. The we will be back and...recommend to our friendsMore
Both myself and dining partner ordered the veg soup, after eventually getting served we received soup that was too salty to taste any other flavor and it was too cold to eat anyways. This was our first experience here and probably our last.
We've had a nice leisurely breakfast here on a few Sunday mornings, nice and relaxing atmosphere. It's hard to find somewhere in town doing a cooked breakfast on Sunday so naturally it's always busy. Prices reasonable and food good.
Had dinner at the Connaught inn with my family, food was delicious and I would recommend the steak baguette it's gorgeous! The staff were very polite and friendly and made us feel right at home!
