I'm vegan and my partner isn't. We found excellent food for both of us. There was one vegan option on the main course and they were willing to adapt another vegetarian one. My partner had a beef dish which was cooked to perfection. Excellent service...from start to finish. Lovely surprise touches like a surprise pre started.and a homemade tiny icelolly at the end.More

What an amazing restaurant. The staff and atmosphere were brilliant. As a vegetarian it was one of the best meals that I have eaten in years. There were several choices and the attention to detail was fabulous. Couldn't recommend it any higher.

Have been here a few times over last month. Slight change in concept but the quality and service is still excellent. As always difficult to state how good food tastes but definetly one of best meals we have in Ireland in last year. Food and...service superb. Service was excellent, each dish explained and questions answered and all in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Well done to chef Barry Ralph and all his staff.More

A group of six of us dined here last weekend. I was initially concerned I would miss the “small plates” concept which I associated with House of Plates . I was so wrong ! We had a stunning meal , each tiny element of each...course was divine . We loved every bite and are already planning our return . Food , atmosphere, staff all top class . Thank you House of Plates.More

Absolutely divine.... not only did the food taste good but it was like a form of artwork on the plate. The staff where so attentive & had a great sense of humour. Loved all the little tasters that where given out between each meal. It's...the attention to detail that makes this restaurant memorable & memorable it was in the most excellent way.More

Re-visited House of Plates on Chapel Street, Castlebar this evening for a special night out and it was even better than our visit pre-COVID. The food was stunning, the service was spot on and the ambiance was just perfect. The food in this restaurant is...as good as any fine dining experience that we have had in Ireland. It is beautifully presented, fantastically conceived and worth every cent. If you are coming to Mayo don’t miss the opportunity to visit House of Plates.More

We called in for tapas, which they don’t do any more so we had Sunday lunch. We had starters that were lovely, Sunday dinners that were so fresh & tasty. But the Creme Brûlée with miso fudge and passion fruit coulis, served with thyme shortbread...fingers was out of this world. It was a taste explosion & just sublime. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. 😍More
