Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another great meal at this absolute gem of a restaurant. I forget how good it is until I return. The decor, the ambience, the staff, the food, just everything is spot on. We had a three course dinner with breads, snacks and pre-dessert included. The...cost was a very reasonable €52 per person (if you're not as greedy as us, you can opt for 2 courses for €46). Every course had an explosion of flavours and we couldn't fault any of them. Usually I get food envy and regret not ordering what my husband has, but apart from needing to taste ALL his food, I was more than happy with my own choices. We will be back.More

Had dinner here on a Friday night with friends. The food was amazing. For starters we enjoyed Oysters, Scallops, Soup and Pork belly. All very different and very tasty. For mains we enjoyed Chicken, lamb and aubergine. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. A wonderful dining experience....Can't wait to go back.More

I think I have found my new favourite restaurant in Mayo. The whole story around ethical sourcing from the furniture to the ingredients is great. The presentation of the food is stupendous (small niggle that our piped baked mashed potato was a little dry) The...main events were well thought out and executed. Everything on our plates was exquisitely flavoursome. The style is contemporary so don't expect plates piled high. Though paradoxically the desert of baked autumn fruit crumble was hearty and ideal for a cold winter night. The price was not outrageous and we look forward to returningMore

Very pretentious and overrated. Main courses of beef and pork belly distinctly average and with little flavour. And the ramekin of creme brulee came served in a large bowl surrounded by thin slivers of dried peat. A lot of watery creme, very little brulee. Overall...a very disappointing experience.More

Absolutely delicious meal. Could not be faulted from start to finish. A shared starter of scallops which melted in the mouth and were beautifully seasoned - WOW. A perfectly cooked fillet of cod for my main and a John Dory for my partner. Again seasoned...perfectly and full of amazing flavour. Just unreal - it was so good. Even the humble spuds and veg were probably the best I've ever eaten. How do you make a carrot so good?? A beautiful dessert and coffee to finish. A sorbet "lollipop" before dessert was packed with flavour and a delicious little surprise. Our host was very pleasant and was very generous with his time while we were chatting about the meal and the history of the restaurant, the area etc. We can't wait to go back. Stunning.More
