Staff were very nice, and the quality of the food were amazing! The 2 fried eggs though were very hard and I specifically asked for soft. That is the only reason I knocked it down although I would come back again.

My wife and myself had a meal in the Thatch before the show in the TLT Theatre, and it was very good, both of us had the house burger and chips, and it was reasonable priced, the only problem I had was the Gents toilets...which up a steep stairway which was badly lit at the bottom of the stairs and as I climbed further up I had to take out my lighter to see where I was going, this needs to be fixed as it is dangerous.More

Visited as couple recently for lunch. Lovely warm room, nice staff. Had two lunch specials. Food fine except roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding both missing off plate. Same advertised on specials board as part of meal. Tiny tiny portions for the price of 14 euro....Had to make hubby his dinner at home two hours after having lunch!! Portion sizes really need to be reviewed. Possibly reason restaurant was practically emptyMore

Attended a graduation dinner here for about 50 people. The food was amazing, the service was fast and the staff were friendly and so professional. It was just a pleasant experience all round. Would definitely be going back there. I am happily spreading the word...to however cares to listen 😂😂More

Stopped in here while sightseeing. We had been traveling all day and just wanted a nice, simple meal. This was exactly what we were looking for, and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend.

1st visit in here since it was done up. Good variety on the menu. I had cajun chicken wrap with chips. All quite tasty apart but the wrap was toasted which made the lettuce soggy, this is something a lot of restaurants/cafes do, cant understand...why? Husband had steak sandwich and my son had kids goujan and chip. All happy with our food and plan to return again soon.More

The Sandwich board outside said it was all day breakfast, however when we entered there was a sign saying that Breakfast was served until 12 noon. It was our first time in this location and we ware impressed with the layout and decor.We ordered a...Mini breakfast and a Large breakfast which came with tea and toast. We ware disappointed with the portion size, the only difference between the Mini Breakfast and Large breakfast was that the Large breakfast had 1 piece of bacon, sausage and White pudding and egg extra but the price point between the Mini and Large was 4 Euro! As the Kitchen had ran out of Mushrooms the waiter had brought 3 hash browns between us after our Breakfasts ware delivered. The food was good and well plated and of good quality however the toast was actually a single slice of bread each which was cut in half and placed on the same plate as the food which would initially make the portion size look bigger. No one approached to ask how everything was until I went to the counter to pay and I was asked and I said it was ok, the person introduced themselves as the new Assistant Manager and she was interested to hear about our experience. The Restaurant was Clean, Spacious and well laid out it was not too busy while we ware there. I had to pick a knife up from the floor between the counter and doorway when leaving that no one had seemed to notice.More

We visited the Thatch kitchen today for the first time since it reopened and it was very poor the menu is poor and portion size is pathetic We ordered 2 toasties soup tea and a kids goujons and chip which consisted of 3 goujons and...10 frozen half cooked chips see pic below had to give a hungry child 1 and then take pic fo 6euro I'd just about pay 3euro for it even at that would be to deer It wouldn't fill a gap in your tooth let alone a child A kids happy meal in mcdonald's is bigger and more filling that says alot We never received the tea and voice the portion size I was told ill say to kitchen staff and its no my prob and it is what it is very poor mannerisism and no curtsy given at all We were offered our tea when we were leaving which was a bit late The staff were very inexperienced and messy hair dangling down on food didn't look nice at all We use to visit the thatch restaurant most weekends and enjoyed our time there But not now will not be returning in a hurry We all left hungry including the child Very unsasified customersMore

i decided to go here for abit of lunch last Thursday as i was near by.. we took a seat and were left waiting abit to order. we got are food i got the curryvit was nothing to write home to.. not one person came...back to the table to ask was everything ok. i had to go looking to get my bill because there was no-one around to ask for it..i wont be rushing back for lunch againMore

Found all staff to be friendly and helpful, food was delicious and very good value. Great choice on menu, something for everyone. The desserts were lovely but a bit expensive, the portions are very large but nearly too big I didn’t see any one finish...one. The kids menu has a good variety also. There’s plenty of parking. Will definitely return.More
