We had a fantastic day yesterday in west 29 from start to finish we were looked after so well...Amazing Service and food with a beautiful atmosphere..Big Thanks to pavel...
Looking forward to next time all ready..🥂🍾😊😊😊
Visited this restaurant with friends, 9 in total, for a Christmas party night. The atmosphere was fantastic and the restaurant was full. When we booked, there was only availability for the 7pm sitting but the staff member offered to book a table in Woodrows afterwards....We all enjoyed our food and drinks and as arranged, we vacated our table at 9pm but when we adjourned to Woodrows bar we were disappointed to learn that a table hadn’t been reserved and the place was full to capacity. Eventually we found a table in the front bar. At approximately 12am a waitress approached us to say that a round of drinks had been charged to the wrong table and asked us to settle the bill, which we did but we all agreed that this was very unprofessional and disorganized. What would have happened if we had moved on to another venue?? Not good! However we would probably return because the rest of the night was enjoyable.More
A Saturday night dinner for two. Had booked several days before and I would suggest booking at week-ends as this is a very popular restaurant. Overall I liked the food. Had some tapas to start and then a mains. I found the staff to be...very efficient and friendly and it's always good to be in a busy restaurant when the service is prompt and the food is good. So why not top marks? Well being a bit picky here but we had to ask for bread ( I know a first world problem!) and table was just behind the "till" so always sense of waiters crowding around you. Bottom line though I would go againMore
Visited recently for a celebration dinner with family.
The menu evidently has been reviewed and portion sizes adjusted.
Chicken wings portion much smaller than before but still tasty.
I ordered medium rare steak and got well done, I didn't complain as I did not want...to spoil the celebratory mood.
Chocolate cake was dry and unappetizing also you need to consider a cheesecake that does not have alcohol as a flavouring.
All in all our family party were happy but I fear that things might go the way other restaurants in Drogheda have gone, cut portions and quality but keep the price the same.
Service as always was very pleasant and efficient so I'll go again but if it wasn't a once off then it will be another local eaterie that goes on my growing casualty list.More
Food was disappointed. Kids chicken nuggets was over cooked(my kids left them. Only eat fries) .they forget watter. We have to go to ask. Chicken noodles fry was also over cooked.onion rings no taste.vegetables was full in butter. Only coffee was nice. No kids desert...menu. We ask for ice cream and they charge like for adults. Atmosphere was so so. Nobody take coats. We have to keep them on sofa. When made booking mention what I want table by window but didn't get. And last but most terrible they said what they have big party and we have to go. Spend 197euro and was kick out.More
I dined in West 29 last week for an evening meal. We had the tapas deal and desert with wine. The bread and soup to begin is a lovely touch while waiting and ensures no guest is left hangry.
The wait staff are extremely friendly...and attentive. The atmosphere is lovely and calm. This was threatened solely only by the bar tender sniping at wait staff across the restaurant.
Very nice restaurant, lovely wait staff and if you avail of the deals an inexpensive night out that feels like it should have cost a lot more.More
Our party of three adults had a very nice breakfast at West29 RestoLounge on the morning of our departure from Ireland. Service was very prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. We all had the full Irish breakfast, and it was very well prepared...and served hot. The restaurant also had a selection of fruits, pastries and juices that diners could select. It was a great way to have a good, filling and quick breakfast before our trip back to the States, and we would happily dine at West29 again.More
