Myself and two friends recently had lunch in Simonas Cafe. It is one of the tastiest Italians I have experienced in a long time and the staff were just so nice - met two and both were equally lovely. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would absolutely recommend.
The only feedback would be the owners could consider stocking gluten free pasta - similarly but maybe less so to stock milk alternatives like soya or oat - it’s 2020 and people’s preferences are changing. I think those small things convey consideration for customers and would have improved my experience.

Simona is a fabulous restaurant. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is mouth watering, I’ve never tasted pizza and chips like it before! It never disappoints and my 6 year old daughter loves the kids menu. An ideal spot for lunch, located across from scotch hall shopping centre. It’s great value and definitely worth a visit. Booking in advance advised, this a very popular spot.

First time trying Simona was on Sunday (covid 19 pandemic!) and we got a takeaway. Pizza. Pasta. Bruschetta. All deeeeeelish!! We really enjoyed it. The young guy who took my order over the phone was a true little gent (son of the owners I assume). He also took my payment when I collected my meal. An asset to team. Young girl behind the counter and a woman too - both happy and welcomed me. I loved collecting my food. Family run. Will be back. Amazing food and great service. Well done Simona 👍🏻

Took my Mum here for lunch and although we didn’t have a reservation the lovely Simona gave us a table and asked that we finish before 1:00pm as there was another booking. We had soup and were there for 20 mins when a rather brusque waiter came and practically threw us off the table. He rushed us to pay and when I complained he would not accept that he had been rude. I certainly didn’t imagine it and my elderly mother was quite flustered by it all. A real shame that someone would let down this otherwise lovely little cafe/restaurant.

We were always planning on giving this place a visit, because of all the excellent reports we heard.
The restaurant did not let us down. My advice to sure of your table, book in advance, its a great business with a lot of demand.
Although we did not book a table, we were kindly shown to our table and we ordered our food. We had Minestrone soup with sourdough bread. Both were cooked fresh and were superb. The other starter was Bruschetta with cheese, you will not get better. For mains we had the special of spaghetti with chilli, garlic and prawns in a tomato based sauce, an excellent dish. The other dish was the Speciale Della Casa, it had penne pasta with chicken, spicy Italian sausage with chilli and a tomato based sauce, another excellent dish.
This place is a gem with wonderful staff, excellent food and cosy setting. Highly recommended and yes we will be back.

Had lunch at Simona Cafe for the first time and the food was delicious (soup, mushroom ravioli, salad). Staff were friendly and professional—checked covid certs and made sure food came in courses. Highly recommend.

Outstanding…one of the finest Italian restaurants you could find.
It’s so unfair to see the first review here so negative when almost everyone else speaks so highly of the staff and their food.
I’d strongly recommend going.

Myself and my husband LOVE this restaurant. The staff are so nice, always make a point of welcoming us when we arrive and try to give us our regular table when it's available. Book in advance as it can get busy. It's in a central location and easily accessible. Great vibe and we eat here on a regular basis, both inside and takeaway.

My wife, my sister and I had an exceptional and excellent 4 course lunch in Simona recently. The owner and servers were top class - so very friendly and very efficient. The food for each of the three of us was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be going back. Final word: Gorgeous!

Food just incredible and staff so friendly and helpful … such a lovely venue.. spaghetti in clogherhead prawns are to die for ! A little gem in Drogheda … so worth visiting ! Coeliacs catered for which I loved !

The fish served in this restaurant is of the highest quality. The fish is sourced from the fish shop next door. The prawns and crab meat are to die for.
