One of my favourite places for a fillet steak. Always cooked to order (medium rare with a nice char) , plenty of options to have on the side and served by great, friendly and attentive staff. The chicken goujons are quite possibly the best I've...ever had and the cocktails are always a winner too. The only critique I ever have is on the onion rings. To me they are just a bit greasy and not very crispy. Think I'd prefer the steak was served with sautéed onions and a nice grilled tomato instead or even to have an option but that's just preference really. A real gem.More
I come from a steak eating heritage in the US. Absolutely had to walk in this door while in Limerick June 12. Not disappointed. Prime Rib done perfectly medium rare. Baked potato hot with plenty of butter. Service genuine and timely. Considering the weird world...of inflation, cost was not prohibitive. Interesting place. Old time Country and Western music was a nice touch considering ya'll have some of the best acts performing concerts there now.More
Great options for steak and burger deals in the city centre - nice and chilled place - friendly staff -
I booked a table for 10 the last week in March. My father had just died and the funeral was over and I was planning the months mind mass dinner for the 14th of May. I had family travelling from the UK who couldn’t attend...the funeral itself. I rang yesterday to increase the numbers as more family wanted to attend the mass and the celebration dinner !!! I told by a staff member today the 1st of May that they shouldn’t have accepted my original booking - so tough - find somewhere else !!! They knew the circumstances and they knew about the event - a months mind funeral mass and they carelessly callously just cancelled the original booking - cold, uncaring, thoughtless, curt attitude - tough we can’t accommodate …. PLEASE don’t book here - don’t eat here - don’t line their pockets or increase their revenue!!! How dare they do this to a grieving family … horrible and disgusting is all I can say. DO NOT BOOK HERE PLEASE !More
We ordered a fillet steak and beef fajitas which arrived about 10 minutes later, obviously pre cooked and sitting there. The steak was good and my wife enjoyed it but the fajitas were terrible. There was no flavour or taste to the dish which was...bland. We told our server about this and she just said she was sorry we didn’t enjoy our food. I told her that we had com to the restaurant for over 20 years and had never had a problem before. We had the same conversation when we were paying and got the same response of we are sorry you had a bad experience but that was all. Basically that was my last trip to the Texas Steakout. The prices have increased dramatically and the standards have decreased dramatically and the food is far from acceptable or good, Be very careful about what you order here and avoid the fajitas as the chef has no clue how to make them. A lovely night ruined.More
Went out for dinner with my wife and wanted to relax and enjoy time on our own without the children. Had two courses served ridiculously fast and were done in 40 minutes. Starters came down two minutes after ordering. Felt rushed by the staff -...definitely a strategy of turning over tables as fast as possible - food was excellent but overall a horrendous dining experience given the price chargedMore
Really enjoyed the Texas the other night.. good buzz, lovely food and first class service.. the waiting area is really nice and relaxing too
The food was amazing in Texas steakhouse, after food we moved upstairs for drinks and the service was exceptional by a fantastic bar man by the name of Mikey, he made us feel very welcome and gave us all the information on places to go...in Limerick since it was our first visit, great atmosphere, lovely cocktails and Excellent service will definitely returnMore
Average food, service ok, but way overpriced for what you get. Steak was cooked well but our chips weren't cooked properly. Fajitas were seasoned too much and we had to ask for the sauces for them.
Tbh I only wrote this review in hopes to find that sexy waiter but the food was good as well ,very nice pina colada drink too 😩😌
Hadn't been in awhile and raging I ever went back. Prices were way too high. It was €20 for nacho dish which was way too over priced. When paying we were told the credit card machine automatically charges a minimum 15% tip!! Absolutely ridiculous. Was...just such a mediocre meal for such an expensive meal.More
Travelled from Clare to Limerick last night to visit this restaurant. Once we tried to order with the waitress we were then informed that they had no steaks left only the T-bone steak was left which was €40 which was a joke. So we ordered...something else and upon its arrival mine and my partners order had been mixed up. The waitress was really nice but was so ran off her feet it was hard to catch her attention for anything.More
